I should have known by the dirty floor and dirty tables just to turn around and walk out before giving this place a try. Sadly, I didn't. This is a fast food type Chinese place that caters mostly to carry-out or delivery folks but does have a nice sit-in establishment thanks to the previous restaurant that was in this location. Too bad the dining room was filthy because it didn't set a nice tone when I walked in.

Most quick-service places like this have photos of plates of food on the wall just to give you an idea of what the dishes look like. Why do you think most places like Denny's and McDonald's have pictures of food on the menu? You can actually order by pointing to a photo. Not here. And while I know those photos aren't actual pictures from the restaurant, I still find them enjoyable to look at and helpful for some. Instead, this place has a huge menu on the wall crowded with too many choices of your typical Chinese fare. This means it takes too much time for most people to order. They even had the cost of "extras" listed.

I ordered the General's Tso's chicken combo which came with fried rice and an egg roll. I ordered one extra egg roll and a large drink. This was $14.00 total. Compared to other Chinese restaurants I've been to, I thought that was a bit high. Heck, you can get a large tea at McDonald's for $1. The drink was $2.29 here! While it didn't take long for my food to be served, the employees seemed rushed and scattered, something other reviewers have also pointed out. I didn't wait long. Though I told them my meal was dine-in, it came in a carry out bag, as did several other people's orders around me who were also dining in. Yet, then someone else's came out on actual plates. Like I said, poor communication with a rush and poorly trained staff!

Now let's talk about the food. My chicken was five or six poor quality chicken nuggets soaking in what tasted like old coagulated barbecue sauce. There were no vegetables. I didn't even finish the chicken because it was such poor quality that I was afraid it was under cooked. The rice was very dark and tasted burnt, and tasted much like the egg rolls which told me they were both cooked in the same very old grease.

There are much better Chinese take-out places around. There's even one across the street from this one and up the road a bit. I prefer Quik Wok in St. Ann or even Panda. I could have gotten this same meal at half the price at any of these places (which are all cleaner) and it would have been much more flavorful and appealing. So skip this place. It won't be around...

I am so disappointed in the service that I received on 8.15.23@8:49pm, on my daughter's birthday. I spent $98 in this establishment and was missing some items out of my food once I got home. I did what I thought anybody would do when food is missing and call back up to the Rice House. I asked for the manager and a young lady got on the phone and said ma'am I bagged your order and everything was in the bag. I then stated what I was missing and she proceeded to cut me off and say ma'am you the same lady that was in here saying you didn't have your sauce. I then said ma'am I am not, I literally just left from there. She hung up on me, so I called back and she said the same thing and hung up on me again. So I drove up to the location and the lady said ma'am you the one who asked about your sauce and I told you, you had it. And I said no ma'am that was not me. I said I came in and you were sweeping and another lady helped me and I said nothing but have a great night and left. She said well then I need to see all the food in the bag or your receipt. She finally decided to get me the 2 items that was missing. They were so rude and unprofessional the entire time and I had to wait 20 minutes for pot stickers and 2 crab rangoon. I have a large family and always spend $60 or more at this location. But the service and the way things transpired at this location was so so crazy. I have called up to file a complaint and was on hold for an hour and a half and still no one came back to the phone to assist me. I will not be back to this...

I Love That The Lindbergh location is back open🙏🏾 However I was hoping that the service would be better 🤷🏾 I've been there 3 times since they have reopened and all three times my order has been wrong. Which has happen in the past quite a few time. I called everytime to inform them of their mistake, talked to a young lady who I was told was the manager which didn't help at all. When you order 2 whole order and receive one half order and one whole order after spending close to $30 is crazy🧘🏾I would hate to think that this is being done on purpose. I always order the same thing and it has been wrong Everytime. I informed the young lady that do to their return policy ( bring it back for a correction) it's costing me more to bring it back, I don't live around the corner nor close enough to want to have to bring the incurrent order back and that this wasn't the 1st or 2nd time that this has happened that I would no longer be a costumer simply because they are unable to get a simple order current. Sadly they do have some decent rice for North County but it seems that I'm going to have to return to John's to get what I pay for and Decent...

THIS BUSINESS WOULD NOT HONOR THEIR ADVERTISEMENT COUPONS!!! These coupons are not good and should be pulled immediately before somebody decides to file a lawsuit. A business cannot put out coupons like this without fine print and then try to say that the fine print is implied. I've included a picture of a legitimate coupon that describes exactly how it can be used. I went on Thursday January 20th 2022 and tried to use their $5.69 General Tso's chicken combo coupon for two of the combos. I was told it only applied to ONE COMBO (because it wasn't plural) even though there is no limit printed on the coupon. It should have been honored. Immediately after finishing the first order and paying for it I tried to use the $2.89 for half orders of pork fried rice coupon (using the singular-plural argument back on them) and was told that someone else would have to do that for me even though that wasn't stated on the coupon. It should have been honored PERIOD I do not recommend anybody go there for food if this is how they do things! Not honoring coupons that they advertise is bad business!

Disappointed in this restaurant especially during the pandemic. Seems as if the focus is on the money and not the quality of the service. In this matter the food to be exact. Paid over $30 in lunch and the cost wasn’t the problem. I don’t mind pricey food if it’s worth it. The Philly cheesesteak wontons were mostly air as you can see in the photo. We paid $10 for fried air totally disrespectful. The duck and noodles that I ordered weren’t good neither. The noodles were horrible fresh. You have to let them sit a couple of hours so the juice is absored into the noodles. The duck was good but I had to fight around the bone. I’m willing to give them another go just not this year.

This is the second time we have ordered shrimp Lo Mein and received thick spaghetti noodles instead of classic Lo Mein noodles. I have watched this restaurant start as a five star from the grand opening and start to decline in service and food. I’ve watched the closing of another location and now I’m disappointed that the owner allows for employees not to answer the phone, make terrible food and simply not care. I trust this business as well as the other location to end up closing. Sad to say, this business just isn’t the great business it started out being. Sad state of affairs. By the by where is the owner???
