So today we try China Island Grill and i have to say how is it that they got 4.6 Stars !!! This is why i question this score ; I order online and finish placing my order at 4:42 received my email confirmation, but no time or any other update about specific time for when my order should by ready, so at this point just guess what time may be ready . Next after 10 minutes of nothing, i start driving to pick up my order and called as i was on the way and wait on the line for ten minutes after some one ask me to hold. After the ten minutes of waiting, some one told me my order would be ready on ten to fifteen minutes, now at this point is been twenty minutes or 5:02, by now we are at the place and wait for our order to be ready for about 20 MORE MINUTES. By now leaving the place by 5:20, so after all of this nothing but bad customer service and not a single apology. So i'm thinking to my self this food most be great. Well shocker, as for me this food has nothing special at all and this are my reviews on this plates and i hope i'm not breaking hearts out there if you give them 4 or 5 stars
Shrimp w/ Lobster Sauce $15.50 ( My rating 3 Price should be $ 9 ) This is OK shrimp and vegetables swimming on sauce
Lemon Chicken $12.50 ( My rating 3 Price should be $ 7 ) Chicken was overcook, you can get better chicken from frozen precooked
Lo Mein Noodles $11.95 ( My rating 3 Price should be $ 7 ) Noodles just OK and meet also missing flavor and taste like broiled
Pepper Steak $13.50 ( My rating 3.5 Price should be $10 ) This plate was just OK 10 % meat and 90 % veggie
Grilled Chicken $12.50 ( My rating 3 Price should be $ 8 ) This could be the best plate, except for the dry overcooked chicken
Moo Goo Gai Pan $12.50 ( My rating 1 Price Should be $ 5 ) This plate was the worse no flavor, just broiled chicken with veggies if you ask me .
So if you make it all the way down here, first you are a knowable and smart person so congrats Second i know you will not be buying from here, thanks to my mini ESSAY Why so much effort to this review you ask, well they quite earn it
Thanks...
Read moreHad a very frustrating experience today where we thought we were ordering for pickup but then received a call from the store confirming our address for delivery. We looked at the receipt and were charged for delivery so we thought it was all good. We waited an hour and at that time missed a call from the store but were told everything was fine when we called back. Called after an hour had passed waiting on the confirmed delivery and then called the store and they tried to tell me they didn't have an order for us at all. After reading my name and the confirmation number they still said they did not have my order. Finally, after spending 10 minutes on the phone with them, we were informed we would have to come pick up the food. At the store, they assured me we were not going to be double charged or charged for delivery. But the total was still charging delivery and I was treated like I was lying so I had to show them the email confirmation that stated they were trying to charge the same amount as if they delivered. I had to argue and wait for someone to come fix the ticket and even had to show them my call log where I called the store back because they tried to blame us for not being responsive. We put the original payment information in online via card but then had to repay with cash at the store for some reason. I was told to check my account and come back if I was double-charged. Which I will be doing as soon as I drive back home. Very clear there is not good communication among staff, ticket prices are not checked, and they are more then willing to try and blame the guest even when we follow through to confirm everything is good to go. I would like to add that as a pick up order we never received any type of notification that the meal was ready at any point in time. Very...
Read moreLet me start by saying this: China Island Asian Grill is the real deal. I rarely write reviews, but this place deserves all the praise—and then some.
From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and at home. The atmosphere is clean, chill, and cozy perfect for a laid-back lunch, an easy date night, or grabbing takeout on a busy evening. You can tell this is a family-run spot with heart behind it.
Now let’s talk FOOD. I ordered the General Tso’s Chicken and holy wow—it was crispy perfection on the outside, tender on the inside, and coated in this perfectly balanced spicy-sweet sauce that honestly made me stop mid-bite to appreciate it. You ever eat something so good you just pause for a second? Yeah, that.
The Fried Rice was fluffy and full of real flavor, not oily, not bland, but packed with fresh veggies and that smoky wok-fired taste you only get from places that know what they’re doing. I added an egg roll on the side, and it was golden, crunchy, and packed with flavor—not one of those greasy, empty rolls you get elsewhere.
Even their Hot & Sour Soup was top-tier—tangy, spicy, and loaded with tofu, mushrooms, and a depth of flavor I didn’t expect from a soup starter.
But here’s the best part: they don’t skimp. Portions are generous, prices are super fair, and everything came out fast and fresh. Whether you’re dining in or doing takeout, they make it so easy—and the staff is always warm, attentive, and genuinely kind.
It’s rare to find a place that nails flavor, freshness, service, AND value, but China Island Asian Grill delivers all of that and more. This isn’t just another takeout spot, it’s the kind of place you want to tell your friends about, the kind you crave again two days later.
Do yourself a favor: go. Order big. Thank me later. 🍜🔥🥢 Shout out to Huy...
