This was the first time at The Rustico and we were excited to try it out. It didn’t disappoint from the start. We were greeted at the door by a very nice young lady who held the door open for us with a very sincere welcome. We were immediately seated, and Nico (sorry if I didn’t get the spelling right!) came to our table to welcome us and make sure we were satisfied with where we were and asked if there was anything he could do. Our waiter Lance Stanford brought us our waters, asking what type we preferred.
The ambiance was incredible! A wonderful booth, the lights were at the perfect level, and there was almost no noise, even though the place fairly busy.
Our drinks arrived with little wait. We had an excellent bottle of Malbec from Argentina, and were given the perfect amount of time to review the menu.
We ordered the filet and the salmon, both of which were perfectly cooked, with great presentation and just the right amount of seasoning and a hint of smoked flavor. The sides were spectacular; the horseradish mashed and the grilled asparagus were wonderful!
Lance was attentive without hovering. Just the right amount of attention, checking to make sure everything was to our liking. Nico came by a couple more times to make sure we were happy. Needless to say, the service was impeccable!
We split the brownie with vanillice ice cream with chocolate syrup; it was a wonderful portion of mouth watering sweetness, chocolate and layered sidt white cake. The perfect end to an incredible meal.
We were thanked by both Nico and the young lady at the door as we left. The perfect finale to an extremely memorable experience. I highly recommend The Rustico and will definitely be back for another...
Read moreGave it a few weeks before writing the review. Came to Rustico on Friday, 11/19. Food is a 3 and customer experience was a 1 so giving it a 2 star.
If going on Fri/Sat dinner the call in for “place in line” doesn’t work. Management needs to invest in a system to help the team/staff. Most disappointing aspect of the experience was just asking for them to give a realistic estimate so we could find a different option if needed. 20 minutes ended up being 60 minutes. The response given a few times was “We can’t predict how long folks will stay at their table”. That was disappointing since that is exactly what should be known. Either you have data to help you or you don’t and that is a core capability for service.
So customer aspect at the entry was poor. Actual food service was very good and attentive. Definite plus!
Food is okay/good but overpriced by about $10 per type of meal when you look at comparable options. We had the Rustico salad, a chicken dish and the wood fire redfish. The salad and redfish was really good. Chicken was okay. Just not worth the bang for the buck.
I’m all for supporting local shops and hope Rustico picks up their game on these needs. We need more local shops to be successful!
And if Rustico responds I don’t need to see put in info into circlestarbrands.com for more feedback. You have the feedback. If people pay attention to the reviews (I should have and didn’t) this is a long standing issue. Problem is even with this issue people give 4 or 5 stars. So they will never change with artificial...
Read moreI would never return after years going here. Between the waiter that duped us and the manager who gave us nothing but an attitude, this place has taken a serious downturn! The waiter commented that we looked hungry when we sat and he offered some bread while we waited but left out that was a $7 charge. I ordered my usual rustico salad with chicken and it arrived smelling like smoked meat. It also tasted very Smokey! I did not eat the chicken. When the manager walked by I only asked if they changed the preparation because this was really one of my favorite salads to which he responded nastily no it’s always wood fire grilled. I said oh I was only asking because it really tasted so different and it tasted smoked like someone would get at a bbq place. He then became even nastier and started arguing about the preparation. I never asked for a refund and I never argued. I really was asking because I did not eat my chicken and I was actually disappointed the dish changed so much and only wanted to know how and why so I could avoid this next time. Well the waiter continued and he made his point known to me several more times without me even prompting, he then Rudely asked if I wanted my chicken boxed up. Considering I did not eat it and mentioned how I did not like the smoked meat and I never eat smoked meat, this only added insult to injury. One would think on a quiet non busy Tuesday night they would have the means to treat their customers kindly and with respect. Will not recommend...
