Fajita Pete's - Flower Mound — Restaurant in Flower Mound

We tried this location when it very first opened, and at the time we were disappointed -- the portions seemed small for the price and the meat was dry from being overcooked. However, I understand it sometimes takes a little bit of time for a brand new business to find its stride so we decided to try it again now that some months have gone by -- and we were impressed! The portions were a bit larger, the meat was juicy and tender with the perfect amount of char on the chicken, and everything tasted great. I don't know what they marinate the beef and chicken in, but whatever it is, the flavor is fantastic. We tried the queso this time too and enjoyed it -- it's one of the better versions in our local area. We were served by who I assume was the owner, and he was very helpful and friendly. Glad we gave it another chance, and we'll be going back next time we're craving...

First time there and loved it! We ordered beef fajitas for two to go. The order was ready to as I got there. The gentleman behind the counter was very courteous and double checked the contents of the bag to make sure the order was done right. Nice touch as I hate to get home only to find out that we got the wrong order or something is missing! I don’t know when they cooked the beef but it was still nice and hot when we got home and was absolutely delicious and more than enough for two!! What we liked about the most is that everything tastes fresh and homemade. The chip and salsa was plenty and great, all the fixings hit the spot and there were plenty of it! The churro beans are the best I’ve ever had. They actually put bits of fajita meat in it. It’s a nice meal on its own with a side of rice👍 Glad we stumbled on this place and will be going back...

I usually order through Uber, but the few times I have gone in the service and attentiveness is off the charts, truly. You can see that they care. One guy even ran out because there was no salsa in the bag. This may sound reasonable, but these days it's rare for workers to care. The food? CONSISTENT/AMAZING. It always tastes the way you remember it. Obsessed with the chips and tortillas, the best I've ever had including the queso. The only suggestion/request would be to have a chips and salsa order item and a Chip-Only option. Sometimes I want chips without buying a bunch of queso or guacamole. Thank...
