I have been coming to the Sonic in Foley for a very long time. I don’t know what is going on here but recently it’s gone downhill and very quickly. This used to be the best Sonic after Donna came in and turned it around. She had excellent employees but most left around the time Covid hit as no one wanted to work and the employees that were there were overworked including management. Most of them hung in as long as they could. I heard recently that Donna left also. I can only assume that upper management had something to do with that as she made this a top selling store in the time she was there. At that time the personality of employees, and the quality of the food was above a 10. And they knew their regulars, their orders and even knew them by name. Now when you go, most of the time they are drive through only. Half the time you can’t even see the sign and if you pull in a stall and press the button you are rudely told it’s drive through only right now. AND you will sit in the drive through line for 30 to 40 minutes. I have limited time so thought I’d install the app and order my food, go there, pick it up and be on my way. NOT HAPPENING. I pull into the stall for pick up orders and am told it’s Drive through only. I try to explain that I’m there for a pickup already paid for and am ignored. Or rudely told it is Drive through only. When I get to the window after a long wait I am told they have no order for me. I show them where I ordered it and am then told they will make it but I have to pay for it NO I already did that. Rude, unorganized and the food quality is terrible. Either it is undercooked, overcooked, half the ingredients or half the amount it usually is. Or most recently the Blast machine and ice cream is not available. This location needs to get back on track or they won’t be around...
Read moreWell , if you're going to sonic just to get a sonic blast, which is a staple item on the menu, good luck. Nine times out of ten when I attempt to get a sonic blast,I am told that the machine Is broken, broken down for the night (hours B4 they close), or the latest excuse which I just got was that "the ice cream machine JUST WENT OUT.. Hmm. Mighty weird way to put it..most of the employees simply say, it is broken. But, by saying it just went out leaves people (especially those who have worked in the service industry) to make their own interpretations, Those in the service industry know that excuse to translates as follows:WE BROKE THE MACHINE DOWN FOR THE NIGHT. SO, WHEN WE CLOSE IN 3 1/2 HOURS, WE CAN WALK OUT THE DOOR AND GO HOME!....THAT IS HOW ALL PLACES SEEM TO ROLL HERE ON THE FOLEY,AL AREA. Which really stinks because the places to get fast food and especially deserts are very limited here. I bet if I go to try to get a blast when they open, the machine will miraculously be working again. If the machine is broken and has been giving so much trouble for the last 2 years, you would think that sonic would intervene to fix the issue. They certainly have enough money to do so.... but what do I know. Calling to complain only gets a coupon for a free blast that is never available (dur to all the supposed issues] then events expires but that is never why I called...I would rather they fix the issue.... If thay is really what is going on. New orleans, Covington, or Slidell, Louisiana locations never had this issue, js. SMH
Update: I did go the next day at 10 am and found that Jesus had performed a miracle while they were closed and fixed the machine. Guess my service industry background translated their tired ex uses correctly. Pure laziness and poor...
Read moreUpdate: As of Dec 3, 2024, I received feedback from Sonic on this very post and was given another number to call and a link....GUESS WHAT!! The number doesn't call to anywhere and the link doesn't work, Go Figure!! I'm done with Sonic, fr this time😡
I went to the Foley AL location in August of 2024 and ordered a small blue raspberry slushie with nerds and decided to try the new (at that time) rainbow slushie. My order was $5 and some change. I paid with a debit card. The guy came outside to take my card and was also dealing with another car ahead of me. I went on about my day. I noticed the next day that the order from Sonic had gone through but I was charged $21 and some change instead. I called the Foley store and the manager said that she couldn't do much but to contact corporate. I contacted the email she gave me and each time their response was "thank you for your feedback". I have asked repeatedly for a resolve, which is, I want my money back. The only correspondence is when I initiate the conversation and each time I tell them AGAIN and AGAIN the issue I'm having and they ask questions that were answered in the original complaint. Every. Single. Time. It is now the end of November and I still have no resolve. The company makes mention in their emails that they value their customers, customer this, customer that, but I see nothing to back up their claims. My last email to them a month ago letting them know how disappointed I am in them was ignored. Psst... Sonic... I still want my...
