Six stars would be better. Gigantic plates loaded with delicious food. First time I can remember having to actively prevent food from falling off the plate there was so much of it! I got the combo platter (gyro, chicken, salad, rice, hummus and four big pieces of pita bread. Some other mediterranean restaurants give you a few small pieces of pita and you have to pay more. They have wraps, including some like the Philly that combines gyro with peppers, onions and cheese, good looking burgers, and I could make a meal from 2-3 of their wide variety of sides.
Only very minor note was that the salad could have used a bit more of an assertive dressing, since the food was well seasoned and very flavorable, although the salad almost acted as a refreshing crisp foil to the tender, juicy meats. Both the gyro and chicken melt in your mouth, and the hummus was very, very good. I'm going back to try the falafel, since good falafel can be hard to find, and I see they have moussaka as a side dish. Falafal wrap and a side of moussaka coming up next lunch visit!
The prices are very good for what you get, and they reduced the prices while paring down the menu a bit. $6-11 will get you all you can eat. I had to take half the combo platter home and it made another meal.
A real hidden gem, tucked away behind BJ's and Visconti's off E Bidwell. And they need more customers, so GO! I may sneak in a little bit of apple cider vinegar to kick the salad up a bit, but its a...

I am blown away by this place. We got the chicken plate and the falafel plate and they were both delicious. The falafels were the best I have ever had. The chicken was amazing too! The portions are very generous and we were stuffed after eating. We got a mango lassi for dessert and it was so smooth and creamy and a great way to end the meal. Everything here tastes fresh and homemade down to the chili sauce we got on the side. The owner was very invested in our experience and it was nice to feel appreciated as customers. We're going to be regulars now after such a...
Read moreI've been here twice now and I am sad I don't live near Folsom. I ordered the chicken plate over rice. Great value with a good quantity of tender flavorful meat over some perfectly cooked basmati rice. Quality taziki sauce dressing over the top. Then a side salad, hummus and pita. The hummus is a bit different from what I am used to it's really tasty and the flavor reminds me of a Nepalese lentil soup I had once. I have to give special props to the hot sauce. It tasted like chipotle and a bit vinegary. I put that on everything and just supremely satisfied with the quality and care that went into the food. Great value, amazing quality and don't forget a tasty Turkish...
