We arrived at 7:15pm to drop off two prints for framing. While the clerk was finishing up with a customer. The clerk asked if we were picking up. When we said we were dropping off, she told us āIām finishing up with these people, Iām by myself tonight, and I have to clean up.ā Iāve had several prints framed before and I knew exactly what I wanted (the color of matting and a 1ā plain black frame.) I am guessing our order wouldāve taken 15-20 minutes max. We asked her what time they closed, and she said 9pm. When we pointed out that it was still 1 hour + 45 minutes till closing time, we were again told that she had to clean up and was by herself. We walked away.
On our way out, we spoke with a āmanagerā who simply nodded after we explained what had just happened. The only thing she said was that the Framing Dept. usually closes at 8pm. Really? We didnāt see that posted anywhere. Iāve been a customer at Michaelās stores all over California for decades. But Iām sorry ⦠they have lost me as a customer. And their attitudes last night made it abundantly clear that they could not care less. In the future, Iāll drive over to Roseville...

They hardly ever have more than one register open at as time, and it seems like every person in the line has an issue or another, so be prepared to wait a substantial amount of time. Might want to bring a snack, or lunch while you're waitin, LOL.Heaven forbid you have hangry kids with you when you w as not to check out. Everytime I ask them to open another register, they get really defensive, but I guess it's the store culture to make people wait, rather than offering good customer service and speedy checkouts, so I'm deducting one star for that

Like when a customer walks in and asks if you have something what is the actual point of treating them like "why is this person asking me a question or even talking to me at all like I work here " um BECAUSE YOU DO...
