I am so very sorry to have to change my review for Lucky Wok. We've been going to them for over 10 years, and had been the best Chinese place to eat hands down. Do not know what's caused all the changes, but this is the 5th time we've gone and the recipes have clearly changed. Beef and Broccoli: The sauce is an oil base now, and taste very beefy and watered down. The portion is much smaller and was hardly any sauce. Chicken Fried Rice: It was so badly covered in grease, it soaked through the styrofoam container. It tasted like VERY old grease. Egg Rolls: Was quite greasy, and nothing in the middle but cabbage. Sadly this is the last "give em one last chance" we are going to do. They've been going down hill for just under a year now and its really sad for us. Hope this helps someone in deciding to go there in the future, I would avoid it period. God bless you all.
Previous review from over a year ago... This is a 'mom & pop' restaurant, and it shows. Granted the dine-in is small, but the food they make is 100% fresh, made to order, and always consistent. My family has gone here for over ten years. This is a staple for our house as to places to eat. The food is always fantastic, and still very hot by the time you get home (15min drive). We like a variety of selections here, and they are always spot on and wonderful. No matter what main item you order, they give you plenty. One of the best items I've found personally that is different from anywhere else is their Steamed Dumplings. They are authentic, and fantastic!
To the owners- Thank you for being there for us, you've been consistent and has always kept us well fed. God bless...
Read moreWe have always had great experiences with lucky wok One night after ordering dinner I came home and prepared our meal the hot sauce that we usually put on our vegetable which is a hot oil sauce my husband described it as where is it/spoiled. I called I called the restaurant back so that they would be aware of it but after attempting to eat my spring rolls they were very stale. Remind you they have the best vegetable egg Fu yung but due to the sauce that without our awareness or knowledge that it was bad we lost most of our meal and had to throw it out, I called the restaurant to see if they would reason with us even offered to pay for half of another meal. Your answer was no we can’t not do that.mmmmm I was very disappointed being that they seem to be such nice people and Being that we do order this to us quite often honestly thought they would accommodate us in some type away, again I even offered to pay for half of another meal at some other time. So the answer is no and as much as I love them and I love their food I will never ever return there ever again for anything. There’s not too many places that will just not reason with you or help find some solutions to accommodate you but this was their choice and my choices...
Read moreToday was the second time I have visited Lucky Wok. The first time, I had the Hunan chicken, which was fairly good. A decent ratio of sauce, meat, and veggies. This time, I had the roast pork with mushrooms. I thought they might add some carrots, onions, or some other veggies as a little filler between the pork and the mushrooms, but nope. lol! I got exactly what I asked for, roast pork, mushrooms, and some sauce. If you like mushrooms, definitely go for it. The sauce was a dark smooth sauce, possibly oyster sauce as a base. The steamed rice is pretty average. No real complaints at all about any of the food. The lady who has rang me up twice is nice, asks if you need soy sauce, adds a fork to your bag, etc. the interior of the restaurant is a bit dingy. The menu above the counter is clearly fairly old. They still have the plastic shielding up on the counter from quarantine days, and there still aren’t many chairs or tables out in the dining area. Overall, it’s definitely worth a try. I’ll absolutely be coming in from time to time to keep trying various...
