Let me start this review by saying that I truly feel for the employees, who looked to be mostly kids in their teens and early twenties. I went during the Harry Potter Houses promotion on a Saturday morning and things were understandably chaotic. Children everywhere, ridiculous orders, and there wasn’t a manager or lead in sight, at least to my eyes. They all need and deserve some training in all aspects of food and customer service, and someone needs to get a competent leader on that floor, stat.
The level of organization was abysmal. I placed a mobile order to-go about ten minutes before I arrived. I know that’s close, so I wouldn’t have minded waiting a few minutes, but I still ended up waiting almost 15 minutes in the store while several other orders were placed and sent out right in front of me, which completely defeats the purpose of mobile ordering. I stood in front of the cashier for several minutes while she did other tasks, refusing to acknowledge me. When she did finally give me her attention, she realized right away that I had a mobile order, asked for my name, and proceeded to take an additional ten minutes to fill my order of two donuts and a latte.
Unsurprisingly, I wasn’t the only one with this problem. I overheard the guy in line behind me request his mobile order as well, that he had placed his the night before. The cashier let him know that they were out of the donut he had specifically ordered for, and didn’t have his order ready despite having placed the order a day in advance.
I’m not sure what first-come-first-served means to Krispy Kreme, but if someone orders a day in advance, their order is almost certainly “first” and should be filled first, not to mention ready to go when they come in. Otherwise, remove the mobile ordering function in the app as it’s seriously a waste of everyone’s time and energy.
When my order finally was filled, the cashier didn’t call it out and didn’t place it in the mobile order station. She set it next to it on the counter, as far back from the customers as it could go, and it was only by chance that I noticed it was there when the guy behind me got his order filled and picked it up. Meanwhile my donuts were just sitting there going stale while my coffee got cold. I had to stretch all the way across the counter to get it, and the staff continued to ignore me.
Needless to say there was no structure in place or someone that the other staff could look to for guidance. Along with several other of the reviewers here, I think this is likely to be my last visit. Lamars and Donut Haus (Loveland) are much safer bets for much...
Read moreI know it is the first week but I am worried. You are selling the experience otherwise we could go to Walmart and buy a box. $9 for 4 donuts should have been more fun and better food. We were driving by last night at 8 and the drive thru line was about 6 cars so we pulled in. The big HOT sign was glowing so we were excited about warm donuts. The Security Guard was in all black - no reflective wear - and it was raining. We almost didn't see him - then he was at the car window telling us where to pull in. The ordering process was fine - no suggestion selling to increase the order but again- it is the first week. But it was no Dutch Brothers happy talk either. When we got to the window, the poor young woman looked scared. She was trying. We had ordered 4 originals. No " thank you". No "come back to Krispy Kreme" to get the name out there again. Nothing to differentiate this brand new store from every other drive thru in the area. Yes Chick Fil A's "my pleasure" can be annoying but it is what THEY say to be special. Then we pulled around to enjoy the warm goodness and they were 4 COLD donuts. I don't remember ever having to go inside to get warm in California. If the sign was on - all donuts are supposed to be warm. My husband said "well, we don't have to do this again. The gas station has cold Krispy Kreme". Maybe we have become Coloradoans after 20 years out of California but this was not what I expected - I found myself wanting LaMar's donuts. They are good less than warm and the servers seem glad to be there - especially if I am spending $9 and taking in all those carbs. 😊 I know me - we will come back in a few weeks and try again. But if it is not better then - warm donuts at the drive thru - I won't be back. I want your business to succeed. Please do something now so every customer experience is memorable in a good way - not cold Krispy Kreme - just not from the...

Edit: KRISPY KREME! KRISPY KREME
EDIT: Alright folks, it's time we face the music: this Krispy Kreme is straight ass.
I wanted to love it. Truly. I kept coming back—despite the endless wait times, the Mad Max-esque parking lot, and donuts that taste like they were made sometime last fiscal quarter.
At first I told myself "Well, they were really busy" as I put on my wig and red nose.
Eventually, I settled for the drive-thru. Surely that would be better? Instead, I sat at the window for ten minutes, repeated my order like I was in a fever dream, and watched them bag up cold, crusty donuts that made me question everything. As I drove away I felt my shoes spontaneously increase from a size 11 to a size 31.
Today was the final straw. I placed an online order for a dozen donuts for a work meeting—planned ahead, arrived 15 minutes after my pickup time just in case. I braved the usual chaos in the parking lot and smugly bypassed the customer line, thinking, "Fools." But alas… I was the fool.
The pickup counter was empty. I waited, assuming they were backed up. Ten minutes passed. When I finally asked about my order, the cashier fumbled through receipts, found mine, and only then asked someone to start assembling it. Another ten minutes later, I left with my donuts—and the sinking realization that I would never return.
As I walked back to my car, which was now the size of a small oven at best, and packed in amongst 12 other companions. My gag flower sprayed me in the face, now painted in shades of white and red. In my efforts to justify their actions I had not only become a clown, but the entire circus.
I don’t know if it’s staffing issues, poor management, or a workplace culture that runs on pure entropy, but not once have I had a decent experience here.
Whatever the reason, skip this mess. Just...
