Chen's Garden — Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale

This place is ridiculous. I made an online order. When I checked the email they sent I noticed a number was wrong in my telephone number. So I tried to call & let them know. The attendant that answered the phone, said she didn't have access to online orders but she would have a manager call me back. After about 10 minutes w/o a call I called them back. She said she would transfer me to the manager's line and I was connected to a line w/ a busy signal. I called directly back and the next attendant tried telling me a manager would call. After I stated I'd already been through that & refuse to wait for that a manager was put on the line. He got my information & said he would go to the back & check & call me if there was any issue. Within 5 minutes I received a call stating that the food had come but since my number was wrong they left. When I asked about knocking on the door he just said that's not his policy. If this is the case they need to get a better system for who can have access. The whole time TRYING to update my phone number, waiting on call backs, and the nonsense I was put through could have definitely went more smoothly & maybe I'd be eating instead of venting. I just moved to this area. So they not only lost this sale but repeat and possibly regular business. Their practices are outrageous and now I'll never know how good their food...

First time ordering, Before placing the order, the lady at counter knew it was first time there. She asked me questions of how I wanted my food prepared not knowing how they prepare it. I had the chicken fried rice, she asked if I wanted the veggies, had I known onions were in it I would had asked for no onions. Then when I asked for egg rolls she told me they had pork or shrimp, I chose Shrimp. I’ve had worse Chinese but I’ve had better Chinese. I ordered the food at 6:55 pm Tuesday 2/9/2021 Rating was for friendliness, convenience it’s not far from the house, food satisfied my craving for Chinese food, after exercising. I’ll be back. One star was only selected in order for me to post this review. DO NOT EAT HERE; the food was absolutely disgusting. We had our food delivered so we didnt have to leave the office to get lunch, but then I ended up leaving the office anyway to take back what I had ordered to get a complete refund. Arrived at the place and the young lady in the front seemed upset that I wanted a refund for the DISGUSTING FOOD. Then another lady approached and asked what was wrong and I explained that I would just like my money back for this food and then she proceeded to argue with me and offered to re-fry the food. Why in the H*LL would I want the same food knowing that it would still be disgusting??? Nonetheless, I got part of my money back as she stated she had to keep the delivery fee!!!
