after reading reviews I’m very surprised. My experience was not good at all - at least for Grub Hub delivery. The churrasco was overcooked not juicy at all and they added chimichurri on top I guess to mask that it was overcooked?!? The beans were mush - falling apart like they have been over cooked as well for days. They added cilantro on top of the beans as a garnish maybe to mask that too. The sad maduros cut Colombian style - were hard and like cardboard. For almost $75 not worth it. I don’t mind paying for quality but I want to eat good food. I have eaten in the best Colombian restaurants in Colombia and Miami and this is by far the worst Colombian restaurant I’ve experienced. And I say this confidently since I was born in Colombia - can cook Colombian food and was raised with a mother that cooking was her gift snd skill. So disappointed. To make matters worse when I reviewed this on GRubhub and they refunded me - Rosa from the restaurant called me to Disagree, debate me AND told me to call GRubhub and retract my complaint so I can be charged. What - excuse me???? Absolutely not so now I am putting everything. You think my sister and I that wanted Colombian food so bad - excited since it is harder to find in Fort Fort Lauderdale - wanted to be sent cardboard, leave us hungry, and then out of the money we paid to have good food sent !? No - why should we get the shirt end of the stick? Serve what you should serve and you wouldn’t have this issue. The Audacity! I have the pictures and will be uploading on Yelp if I cannot...
Read moreThis place is truly a hidden gem! The food is excellent (sabrosa!), but the management and servers are the best part of this restaurant. They simply go out of their way to make you feel, and treat better than family! The service and customer service is very exclusive, they always ask for your name as a way to make your experience that much more special and personal. Tonight was our 2nd visit, but for sure not the last. On our 1st visit, by the time we checked-in at the Hotel, found, and walked to this place 15 minutes before closing. Jessica and Juan received my wife and I with a smile and asked us not to worry about the time, that we were family (familia)! No one appeared rush to head out the door, everyone was very courteous and professional, and that food was amazing! Tonight we were greeted by Juan and Diana, Juan remembered us, and took the time to see what we were in the mood for, while cracking some jokes! They simply take the time to treat you like royalty, and always give you their undivided attention, which is very rare these days. After our meal tonight they served my wife and I a complimentary Colombian espresso coffee, like their service, exotic and special. The coffee beans are imported from Colombia, can’t get them on the shelf of a local vendor. With a secret ingredient at the bottom of the cup, directions were to mix to the level of sweetness desired. We can’t thank Juan, Jessica, Diana and the remaining staff and servers for their hospitality, love, excellence, above the best customer service, and attention to...
Read moreEverything seemed perfect—warm greetings by all staff, and a great atmosphere complimented by a talented live singer. As first time guests, we were received with a complimentary appetizer, which made us feel welcomed. Things started to take a turn after waiting for our food over 1.5 hours, which we didn't really mind as we were having a nice time and in no rush to leave. BUT only three of our six meals were served first. I shared my meal with the rest of my family while waiting an extra 30 minutes for the other three meals. By then, most of us had already lost our appetite. When inquired with Julie about the delay and discrepancy with the food, her response was accusative and dishonest saying she told us about the long wait (not true) and that they had a full house (also not true). That was the most disappointing part, either way, this cannot be an excuse for splitting a family's meal by about a half hour interval. Julie offered to give us complimentary dessert to make up, but at that point we didn't want to stay there any longer, so kindly declined. She provided a small discount off our bill, but the damage was already done. All we wanted was an enjoyable family dinner. If she would have been truthful and taken ownership, such as I truly apologize but our kitchen messed up on your order, or I / server messed up on the order, we would have been understanding; just as we were during the 2 hours we waited for all of our meals. The food was flavorful, but unfortunately, service just...
