My recent reservation i coudn't stay at Ocean Reef Hotel was deeply disappointing and far below any reasonable standard of cleanliness or comfort. The conditions of the room were appalling, and I feel compelled to share my experience to warn others. Here are just a few of the issues we encountered: Dirty Blanket: The blanket provided was visibly unclean, with stains and an overall unkempt appearance. Blood Stains on Pillows: We were horrified to find blood stains on the pillows, which is completely unacceptable and raises serious hygiene concerns. Dirty Pillowcases: The pillowcases were soiled and clearly not fresh, adding to the overall sense of neglect. Dead Bug on the Bed: Discovering a dead bug on the bed was the final straw. It was deeply unsettling and made us question the hotel’s commitment to basic cleanliness. I have attached photographs as evidence of these issues, which clearly illustrate the severity of the situation. This experience was far from what anyone should expect, even from a budget accommodation. I would not recommend Ocean Reef Hotel to anyone and strongly urge management to address these serious hygiene and maintenance issues immediately.

WORST HOTEL OF MY LIFE! These people are crooks! I am asthmatic and dealthy allergic to mold. I walked in to not the first, but second room that they tried to give us, only to be hit with the reek of cigarette smoke in a ‘nonsmoking’ room. There was mold in the shower and I had to go book a different hotel for my health. Black mold like that would land me in the hospital! These people have REFUSED to return my money when we were there for 10 minutes and I had to leave for my health. I called multiple times the next day, trying to get ahold of the manager, only to get everyone else there who promised she would call me. Have I received a call back? NO! Have I received my money back? NO! In addition to the reek of smoke in a nonsmoking room, we encountered a pile of black mold, nasty dirty sheets, someone else’s hair in the shower, plus the AC didn’t work properly. STAY AWAY!

I recently stayed at Ocean Reef and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The property felt extremely run down… the floors were literally ripping up, and everything seemed neglected. The overall cleanliness was a major issue. I found roaches in the room, and the towels provided were dirty, which was completely unacceptable. Also as you can see in the picture attached the sheets were also stained. The whole place just gave off a grimy, unkept vibe, making it hard to feel comfortable or relaxed. For the price, I expected at least basic cleanliness and upkeep, but Ocean Reef fell far below that standard. I would not recommend staying here until they seriously invest in cleaning, maintenance, and pest control.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! AVOID THIS PLACE NO MATTER WHAT!! Stayed here and the first night there were cock roaches everywhere. They switched my room and then later on when I went to shower the hot water wouldn’t work. I was in a hurry so I took a cold shower and then told them when I was leaving about the issue. When I got back to my room later on the hot water issue wasn’t fixed so I went down and said something again and the lady asked me to wait 5 minutes. After the 5 minutes she said I would need to wait until the morning for it to be fixed .I went back upstairs to my room and tried to take another cold shower and couldn’t bare the cold so I went back downstairs and asked to be switched to another room because I was sandy and sweaty from the night out and wanted to shower before going to sleep. The girl working said she couldn’t do anything about it and said that she wasn’t going to switch me rooms and started arguing with me over the issues and then she just closed the blinds of the window. I was also recording this whole time as well. She then ended up switching me rooms but switched me right back to the room that had the cock roaches. So the next morning the owner or general manager was in the office so I went down and asked for a refund or if I could just get my money back for the nights ahead at least. She saw my review I left on hotels.com and mentioned she saw my nasty review. Said if I took it down then she would. After taking it down she refused to refund me or give me discounted rates for the nights ahead or anything. I only have videos of all of this and can’t post here unfortunately but please save yourself from misery and...

During our trip through Florida, we had the pleasure of staying one night at the Ocean Reef Hotel, and it was truly a great experience. Upon arrival, we found the reception closed, but it wasn’t long before a very friendly lady came to assist us with check-in. She had just gone out to grab a bite to eat, which is completely understandable – everyone needs food! Once we got to our hotel room, we were pleased to find it clean, well-maintained, and above average in size. Although there were a few minor maintenance issues, what mattered most was that the beds were extremely comfortable and everything was spotless. After checking in, we went out for a meal, but upon returning, we discovered that the parking lot was nearly full, making it difficult to find a spot. Without even needing to ask, a very helpful staff member on the night shift immediately resolved the issue by assigning us a great parking space near the entrance. This thoughtful service made a huge difference. Throughout the night, this gentleman also conducted a round of checks, which gave us a great sense of security. The hotel itself was quiet, and we had a restful night's sleep. The bathroom facilities, including the toilet and shower, were also impeccably clean. In the morning, when we checked out, the same lady who helped us with check-in was there again, and once more, we were greeted with kindness and a friendly smile. This hotel is definitely a place I would return to during a Florida road trip. I highly recommend it and want to thank the staff for their excellent care. It’s absolutely a...

I have to say that I feel that after reading some of the negative reviews of this place, I feel like those people stayed in a completely different place than we did.

I came with my wife and 5 year old daughter for the week. We stopped in and asked if we could just see a room, considering that the price was way lower than the others that are this close to the beach. (Less than 2 minutes walk through a beautiful area.)

The girl at the front desk obliged, allowed us to take a peek, and to our delight, was wonderful. It was very spacious, had a king and queen bed that were amazingly comfortable, coffee pot (which our other hotel didn't have), large TV, refrigerator and a safe box.

When we came back and checked in, we were greeted by Sue. She was the sweetest lady, which was completely contrary to another review. She gave us information on the area and the best places to eat.

Also, on the morning of our checkout, our flight was canceled. The lady at the front desk called Sue on her day off. Sue organized with Mike to help accommodate us with a very late checkout and even watched a couple of our bags while we organized our next move.

So, maybe someone was having a bad day on the reviews or maybe there has been a lot of improvement since then. What we know is that Sue and her staff were amazing with us. We will absolutely return here and bring friends.

In short, if you're a thrill seeker who is expecting to daringly stay in a run down, danger filled environment with millions of bugs and sleep on a bed of rusty nails......you'll be severely...
