Manhattan NY Pizza- Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale

I have been a long time customer of this place. Love the food. The employees are great, offer a small cup of free beer while u wait if u show up early for a pick up, and also have no problem with engaging in a conversation and learning about the regulars. I have never wrote a review for them, but always complimented them in person and tipped well. I just called and ordered dinner only to find out that they have made a 3$ price jump for a small Stromboli. Which after taxes and all is gonna bring that up to around 17$ and after tip about 20$. The dinner I was wanting all day long, I can not afford anymore unless I don’t give a tip, and as an industry worker, and a good person in general, I won’t order from a place if I can’t afford to tip properly. As much as I love this place, it is now a place that I consider as being too rich for my blood, and won’t be coming back. I just can’t afford ya guys anymore. Sorry to take your menu out of my kitchen drawer. Since i cannot make a second review, i am adding to this one, 2 months later. I recently went ahead and ordered from yall again, a few days ago. The guy at night is always so nice and polite, and i spoke with him about my concerns with this huge price hike, he really smoothed everything over with me and i told him that i would be back to order again, which i was planning on doing so. But just now some girl called me and asked about my recent experience. I went ahead and gave praise about how good the food and service is and all that, and then began to tell her about how expensive the food is for me now, and in the middle of me talking with her, some other girl got on the phone and asked me the same question. I then started all over from scratch, and she was basically just blowing me off. I couldnt even get to the part about how everything for me was made right and smoothed over by, i cant remember his name, the guy at night. She interrupted me, not allowing me to finish the conversation that was started by yall calling me, pretty much blew me off and showing a lack of care for my business and then hung up on me. Now for sure, I am not going to be coming back. Whoever these 2 girls are, they really need to learn better phone and conversation skills. This is for sure not how i thought this was gonna play out. Oh well. I would like to extend my thanx to the nice guy i always deal with as i am typically a late night pick up order. We stopped here for pizza one night before going on a cruise the next day in September 2018. It was the best pizza I had and the staff was very friendly. When I moved to Fl March 2019 in the same area it was the place I had pizza once a week. Shortly after the friendly staff took a turn for the worse. Every person we encountered in the restaurant was rude argumentative and there’s an older blonde lady who delivered and worked who would literally cuss out customers and tell them to get away from her counter. One night I called in an order and the man behind the counter put it on the counter top but didn’t say here’s your pizza. The blonde lady came in rushing and frustrated saying where’s the pizza she needs to deliver? Then she took the pizza on the counter and walked out. When we asked is our pizza ready that we called in, the guy behind the counter said the blonde lady took it. He had to run to the car to get it from the blonde lady. I couldn’t believe the disorganization and lack of acknowledgment from the man behind the counter to simply tell us here’s your pizza. The straw was when I called in an order and my husband went in to pick it and the blonde lady argued with him that I didn’t have an order cuz she didn’t speak with me. I went into the store after he came out frustrated and the man admitted that they lost my ticket. This place has went down hill in a very short time. We’ve taken our business across the street (17th) to Dough Boys who not only have better pizza but their battered hot wings are delicious. The service and staff are top notch. For such a small establishment it feels like your dining in a 5 star restaurant based on the service and staff. I’ve found it’s hard to find good pizza here in FL so I was happy to find that Dough Boys had great pizza! Don’t waste your money here go to Dough Boys across the street!! Hello, my name is W. Green and I am from California and visiting Beautiful Fort Lauderdale. I ordered an extra large meat pizza from Manhattan, NY Pizza. I asked that black olives, mushrooms, and onions be added. Instead, it was suggested by one of the employees that I take another pizza that came with the olives, mushrooms, and onions. Now, before I could get in the room at the beautiful Embassy Suites hotel... family members started eating the pizza. About three slices before, I noticed it was the wrong pizza. I called and told them about the problem and they decided to give me another at a fifty percent discount since three slices were missing. My question is, can you just give me fifty percent of my money back? They sent another delivery person over and picked up the remainder of the, and promised to send the fifty percent refund back to my card. I will be back to let you all know the outcome and how much we paid for three slices. TBC

Well, here we go. Not only did this restaurant not refund the fifty percent promised, but they also accused me of being a scammer? Would a scammer tip your delivery person ten dollars for delivery? You aren't really trying to satisfy your customers.

You run a small-time, greedy little business as far as I am concerned. Do you think I flew from California to Miami, hopped on a ship for a seven day cruise. Traveled to Fort Lauderdale to site see and then scammed your business? Not nice at all. By the way, I never tasted your pizza, but my niece told me that it was soggy and dough was uncooked in the middle. But hey, let the buyer beware! I only speak the truth.
