We ordered from Rice on Las olas when it first opened. We found the kabobs to be decent. Since then every time it has ordered the kabobs have not been good. We decided tonight to give it once more try tonight. Revering for pick up. The online ordering system does not give correct pick up approximations. So we called to get an approximate time. At first I got someone who barely spoke English. I then was given to someone else who claimed to be he manager but was defensive belligerent and refused to give even an approximate time. He kept telling me he a]can’t give an exact time. I kept repeating that I don’t want an exact time. Just an approximate of how long a couple kabob platters generally take. He still was defensive completely not helpful and refusing to give my help in knowing when to come and then he hung up. honestly we haven’t been able to find really good Persian kabobs in FTL. Rice at once point was ok. But after declining food experiences from decent to not good ….and now with such horrible service and attitude I cannot not recommend this place at all. we hear shahs of kabob is opening a FTL location in a couple weeks and we will be going there for now on. They have excellent Persian kabob and their Miami branch has good service which I assume they will carry over to FTL unlike Rice which seems to not value its...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal Rice customer for years and have spent well over $1,000 at various locations. Unfortunately, today’s experience left me disappointed.
While at this location, Lay was preparing my bowl. When I asked for extra cheese, she kindly let me know there would be an additional charge—which I was completely fine with. However, another employee named Martin, who wasn’t assisting me or at the register, unnecessarily repeated that it would cost extra. That came off as a bit confrontational and unnecessary.
At the register, Lay may have decided not to charge me this time—possibly as a courtesy since I wasn’t aware of the two-scoop policy—and she went on to assist another customer. But then Martin came from the other side of the counter just to insist, “You’re paying extra,” and made sure the cashier charged me.
To be clear, I have absolutely no issue with paying for extras—I understand it’s a business. What bothered me was the tone and the way it was handled by someone who wasn’t even directly helping me. It felt unnecessary and...
Read moreI can't seem to understand why these establishments that I patronize so frequently offer loyalty rewards but undoubtedly whenever I try to use them their system is not working and there is no one in charge to assist. I had a $10 birthday reward plus an additional $5 for redemption. The $10 was expiring in 4 days when I would not be back at the office near their location to use it. Supposedly there was no internet so they couldn't process the reward, yet somehow debit and credit card charges were being processed. I guess in this era of technology we no longer have a manual way to process discounts. All this while having to wait 20 mins on the line as there was only one server between 12pm and 12:30pm. The other server was making To Go orders. So yes, I paid the $19.21 for my lunch. Can't say I will return anytime soon as this is the 2nd occurrence of them not being able to process the reward that they offered in their app. How...
