Unfortunate that I have to give this space a one star. I don't give it one star because the internet is frequently down for hours at a time or because the coffee machine is offline for a week (!), but because of their border lining fraudulent business practice. One could argue that it is not fraud but because their IT systems that are broken, but for us the result is the same coupled with their inability or unwillingness to fix the problems. They keep on blaming their help desk in the Philippines, but that is because they do not want to (or perhaps it is policy not to) contact their US based managers. Tried to rent space here short term, but because of technical issues we were not able to cancel using their website. We actually first cancelled using email and was told that it was not allowed. So we tried using their website. It did not allow us to cancel. So we contacted them by email again. They had to go to their help desk in the Philippines who just told us to use the website. So we had the on-site manager watch us try to cancel using their website and confirmed that it was a technical issue and that it would be taken care of. But they keep on charging our credit card. Then we agreed to move to a different Space location. We emptied the office and after the next month started we were told we could not move. Once again the Philippine help desk was to blame. So we moved back in. We were told it was sorted out and moved back out. We were literally outside the new Spaces location when we got a phone call saying we could not move anyway. What kind of a company treats customers like this? After having moved out twice we are not willing to move in again and not being able to cancel our office space using their website they keep on charging our credit card. So I think I will stick with the fraud statement and strongly advice anyone who is considering Spaces to look elsewhere. Sad, because it is a nice location (if you like E Las Olas Blvd), but taking your money that does not belong to you it not only not nice but something only thieves does where I am...
Read moreAwful customer service! I drove an hour and a half to check out the facility. Alana at the reception was breathtakingly rude from the moment I approached the desk. I asked about pricing. She said -- continuing to stare at her screen and not even make eye contact with me -- "you have to go online for that." I asked - you mean you don't know the pricing? Her answer: "That's correct." Okay. So I take a breath and move on, asking to see a couple of the offices. Alana responds: You have to schedule that online ahead of time. I say -- I just drove for an hour and a half, is it okay if I just take a peek at a few rooms?" Alana: "No. You have to do that online." So of course the question is: What is it that Alana knows or does? At that point I asked to speak with her manager. She responded "I don't like how you are talking to me I am calling security." Don't walk - RUN - away...
Read moreI am a realtor and moved a law office from Wisconsin to Spaces here in Fort Lauderdale. My clients have rented 3-4 office spaces. Spaces corporate offices still owe my brokerage with zero resolution 380 days later. Multiple emails, multiple times filling out paperwork, multiple phone calls ….. and their corporate global contact said fixing a mistake the company made is beyond his scope???? Extremely incompetent employees here. Avoid this place.
The response here is just as expected.
