I ordered the tacos dorados carne asada. It came with four and it’s topped with lettuce, tomato, 2 slices of avocado and some cheese. I’m enjoying my taco all good with the first one. Onto the next taco … I bite and get the fat … I’m immediately disgusted. I did call the restaurant and the one I initially spoke with said she can’t do the credit back but to wait and someone will call me back. The second person called me back and said she needed proof of what I was referring to. She asked if it had that why couldn’t I eat it. Well excuse you I am currently pregnant I’m more sensitive to what I eat that alone made me nauseous. Secondly this was ordered on my lunch break … I cannot simply leave work again to fix the meal I paid for. This is unacceptable! I shouldn’t have to pick apart the taco to separate the fat to then eat the meat. I should be able to bite into the taco without a worry. The photo there shows what was inside the remaining 3 tacos. Go somewhere else. I’ve eaten tacos dorados plenty of times at other places and never NEVER do I get fat in my food. As matter of fact I don’t even get the meat fat in any other meals that I order at other places....
Read moreIf you're looking for authentic Mexican tacos, places like this is where you will find them, not at the big, fancy, gourmet Mexican restaurants.
Tacos here are very similar to what you would get in Mexico: two soft corn tortillas, meat (asada, carnitas, lengua, cabeza, etc), onions, cilantro, limes, red and green sauce.
The "red" sauce is not red. It's orange. It's habanero and it's pretty hot. And that's good, because many red sauces are not very hot.
I wish they served them in restaurant size (large), instead of street size (small). Because 3 street tacos will not fill you up.
I also wish they had a trompo. A trompo is the real way to cook al pastor. What they have is marinated pork and they call it "al pastor", like most other taquerias do. It's good, and it's similar to al pastor, but not quite the same. If you want real al pastor, try Taqueria Doña Raquel. They...

I'll start with the best thing I had, it'd probably be the Torta Milanese. Everything was really fresh and properly seasoned. If youve ever been to Mexico than you gotta know this is as close as you can get to good authentic street tacos and tortas. The salsas were appropriately spicy and actually had some flavor other than just heat. Food is great, but service leaves a little to be desired.
They got my order completely wrong and didn't even give my brother a receipt for the order. Had order a variety of 8 tacos, 2 tortas, and a soupe. The lady on the other side of the phone confirmed it back to us and they still managed to get it wrong. To say the least we were a little peeved. I'd recommend to anyone for good look into Mexican cuisine, but check your order for takeout and ask...
