EDIT: Updated stars (1 to 3) to reflect overall improvement the past handful of visits. The past 4 or so visits I have not gotten a wrong order.
Let me start by saying there's a reason this place has 2.6 stars for a review at the time of writing this. Now normally I think reviewers can be a bit harsh or overly critical in some areas and people are more inclined to write a negative review on a place than a positive one. If you check, you will see I have written far more positive reviews than negative.
With that out of the way, this place has been the single worst fast food experience, repeatedly, that I have ever known. I really didn't think this level of incompetence and disregard was possible, even in a fast food chain. Now recently I have gone here multiple times to use up numerous breakfast coupons. I've had less issues with the breakfast crew than the evening shift but they are not without their issues either. As for the evening crew, I have yet to go there and NOT have at least one problem. As I've been there half a dozen or more times now, that is just insane to me that I have yet to have a single, even neutral, experience there.
Where do I begin?
First experience I placed two orders. Taco salad with a large chocolate frosty and a spicy chicken sandwich with a small chili (instead of fries) and a small choc frosty. As I held the cash out the window I noticed the person at the window paid zero attention to me and handled the frosties out the window while looking the other direction and talking to her associates. Now it's my understanding that they take the money before they hand you anything, right? I guess not. Because I took the frosties and then held the cash out the window again only to be greeted with our entire meal in bags. We could have just driven away with the meal in hand, not that we ever would. Instead of a large frosty and a small frosty, we got two smalls. Not a huge deal there but with the body language and disregard from the window attendant, I was a bit baffled.
During two orders now I've gotten back the wrong change, one on evening shift and one on morning shift.
The last dinner order I placed they gave the wrong size salad and I had to go back. At least they let us keep the original salad (they'd have just tossed it anyway) and we got the full size salad.
During my most recent breakfast order on 07.19.17 the window attendant told me I owed $5.40 on a combo after my coupon. I made exact change with a five dollar bill, a quarter, a dime, and a nickel. I handed her the change first and then the $5 bill. I made exact change so I didn't get any back. I ended up getting a wad of change back anyway because the coupon had been applied after I gave her the original amount. Why not just tell me what I owe after the coupon?? That was the first thing I handed through the window. Then when I got the receipt I noticed it said I had paid 5.35 instead of 5.40. So she did not count the change properly. I confronted the attendant about this and she blatantly told me no I did not give her a nickel when I absolutely did as I counted the change twice as I normally do. Now I don't much care about losing 5 cents to incompetence but what is truly frustrating is that I was gimped any amount of money at all by someone who basically called me a liar.
Where is their blasted coffee at? EVERY SINGLE TIME I've been here they have had either NO COFFEE or a single flavor of coffee, vanilla. How do you advertise iced coffee and then provide either no coffee (as was the case today) or a single flavor out of the 5 or so you offer? This has happened on 5 or more occasions and now I just assume they have no coffee ever.
Now that my coupons are spent I will never eat here for breakfast again and I will remain a highly reluctant customer of their dinner meals as my grandmother likes their salads... Don't leave here without checking your order twice and your...
Read moreThis Wendy's location needs some TLC from the owners and some additional staff training as well. The food is just as good as any other Wendy's, however eating in the dining room is a bit disappointing when the two Coca Cola Freestyle machines have no ice, one doesn't work serving beverages and the other only has a few working options. Going to the counter to ask staff for ice and to fill up a flavor that is not working on the one sod3 machine that has ANY flavors can also be a challenge as several staff members don't speak a lick of english, not even enough to understand "Ice" or "Coke Zero". Any customer facing employee should have enough knowledge of English to communicate your menu & beverage choices. To the owners, YOU can do better. Your store team seems to be trying their best, but you just need to give them the right tools to succeed. If the machines don't work, get them fixed but teach your staff to offer to fill the beverage instead of handing an empty cup for self service. The staff who dont speak English, offer to send them to English classes while coaching your staff to help teach them your menu and options in English. We all win that...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible experience. Extremely poor communication. The time it took to get through the drive-thru was much longer than what you'd expect from a fast food restaurant on a early Thursday morning. The cashier gave me my food at the window, and upon inspecting my food items, I noted the French toast I ordered was missing. The cashier almost became argumentative, insisting the French toast was in the bag. Finally, he went around the corner and came back with my 4-piece. That is not really made it horrible experience...that was just the tip. The bag he gave me was all wrinkled and soiled. After driving off, I reached into the bag for a potato wedge, pulled one out, and the wedge was ice cold! I was furious! If I didn't have to be to work, I would have gone back and gotten a refund. Furthermore, my sausage, egg, and cheese croissant was missing the cheese! Ugh! I am erasing this restaurant out of...
