Where do I even begin to write a review about Roast'd! After moving to Fort Lee just over a year ago, it took me two months to find the perfect coffee in town and the first day I went to Roast'd, I immediately knew it was going to be my go to spot! I was greeted by the lead barista (Edgar) with a friendly smile and I clearly looked confused on what to order and he helped guide me through the entire menu, asked me what my favorite type of coffee was, flavors i liked, even had me try samples etc. I ended up ordering an iced caramel latte and have been every day since exactly a year ago.
There are days where I am on a call in my car, and if they see my car pull up, they make and bring out my order for me without me even asking. Talk about 10/10 customer service, it's honestly above and beyond what they need to do and it's always appreciated.
What sets Roast'd Fort Lee apart from every other coffee shop in New Jersey? WELL they have a massive roaster in house and roast the coffee fresh a couple of times a week so you really won't get anything more fresh than this! If you're lucky, you'll go on a day where they are roasting and can watch it in action, it's super cool.
Nothing fancy, nothing over the top, just fresh quality organic coffee, pour overs, lattes, oh and they make their own syrups in house so that's amazing as well. If you want a snack you MUST get the warm chocolate croissant or an avocado toast! Those are my go to light bites here. They truly have the best caramel latte in New Jersey, or anywhere really that i've tried!
If you've made it this far in my review, I hope i've convinced you to stop by here because you won't regret it. I look forward to coming here every morning and being greeted by the best baristas in NJ and I hope you get to experience all that I have from...
Read moreI've been searching high and low for pour-overs, but it seems most coffee shops have stopped offering them. It makes sense, as most cafes focus on espressos, where the money is, so finding a place that still makes a pour-over is getting harder and harder. That's why we were so delighted to find this spot on Yelp. For true coffee lovers, this is a huge find.
Most of their beans are single-origin, and while it might make you a little nervous that the cafe is right next to a gas station, rest assured, you're about to have one of the best cups of coffee youâve ever enjoyed. That's a bold claim, but itâs a true one.
Seating is very limited inside. There's a long bench table with four seats on one side and a smaller bench with two seats on the other. They also had a table with a few chairs outside.
Beyond coffee, they offer espresso drinks, a limited tea selection (tea bags, not loose leaf), and a variety of baked goods like banana bread and croissants. We tried a buttery croissant and the banana bread, and both were outstanding after being heated up. The cafe roasts its beans in-house and also offers coffee on tap. It turns out they have several locations, and each one roasts its own beans. You can also buy bags of beans to grind at home.
Parking is tight but free, and they have a bathroom. The baristas are true experts. They are incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and great to chat with about their beans during a rare slow moment. It's obvious they're dedicated to their craft.
Anytime we are nearby, this will be the only place we stop for a supreme cup of java. My only regret? Not buying a bag of beans to take home. The Roast'd Legender is definitely...
Read moreWow Wow Wow, many great positive things about this place, I can start with the service and the staff, the best most coffee educated personal ever, very knowledgeable about the beans and the roasting and even specific water temperatures for different kind of bean or roast, not to forget that gigantic Roaster they have in the place roasting twice a week over 300Lbs of different coffee beans weekly.. The atmosphere is very chill, the place is very clean and most of all itâs your last stop before you get into the George Washington Bridge toward New York with plenty of parking space. They are very popular in the neighborhood and usually the place is packed with regular picking up the orders at curbside pickup. I have been going their once a week even though I live about half hour drive from them it doesnât stop me from stopping by getting coffee for my staff and picking up my favorite mint hot tea. You should definitely stop by for one of a...
