“Authentic Flavor, Incredible Service — The Halal Guys in Fort Mill Is a Must-Try!”
If you’re in Fort Mill and craving bold, authentic street food packed with flavor, look no further than The Halal Guys! From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re greeted with the warm, inviting energy that owner Shak has brought to the community. His passion for food and people is felt in every detail from the quality of the dishes to the welcoming atmosphere.
I ordered the chicken and beef gyro combo platter, and it was absolutely perfect. The meat was juicy and well-seasoned, the rice was fluffy and flavorful, and the fresh veggies added just the right crunch. And don’t get me started on the white and red sauces the perfect balance of creamy and spicy. It’s no wonder this brand became a legend in NYC.
What really makes this location stand out is Shak himself. You can tell he truly cares about the customer experience. He was out front checking on guests, making sure everyone was satisfied, and thanking people personally. That kind of genuine hospitality is rare these days and it made the visit even more memorable.
👏 What Makes This Spot Special: • Flavor-packed halal food done right • Friendly, fast service • Super clean, modern atmosphere • Huge portions • A hands-on, community-focused owner ship
Shak and his team are doing amazing things at The Halal Guys Fort Mill. Whether you’re a longtime fan of the brand or trying it for the first time, this location is the real deal. I’ll be back soon — and I’ll be bringing...
Read moreTried the small chicken platter here, and wow… this isn’t the Halal Guys I know from NY. Chicken (pretty sure it’s thighs) was bland, borderline stale, and felt like it hadn’t been seasoned at all. Any flavor came purely from drowning it in white and red sauce, and even that couldn’t save it. Rice was fine but flavorless without sauce, pita was forgettable, and the toppings didn’t do anything to bring the dish together.
What makes this worse is that my experience isn’t unique, just look at the recent reviews. A lot of people are saying the same thing: bland chicken, questionable freshness, heavy reliance on sauce, overpriced for the quality. Yet somehow, there are these random 5-star “OMG amazing, million-star button!” reviews popping up with photos that don’t even match what they’re praising. Doesn’t take a genius to see the mismatch.
If you’ve had The Halal Guys in New York, you’ll know how far off this is. There, the chicken is juicy, seasoned, and balanced; here, it feels like a rushed franchise cutting corners. Uptown’s halal food truck delivers a better platter for less money ($8.99 vs $11.99), and the quality...
Read moreI hate to give an average review, but it’s what this place is, average to poor. I’m used to good cooked halal, one of my favorites, but this place needs to get better quickly. Service and atmosphere are very nice, but the food was bland and disappointing. The chicken looked like it was boiled, with a very terrible color. The vegetables were all raw and not cooked. They were at least fresh. The sauce comes in packets and isn’t home made, and it tasted like watery mayonnaise. Rice, bland, acceptable.
I saw the reviews but wanted to give it a shot myself, needless to say, the reviews are right, place is mediocre. I’ll tell you what, if I got this plate at 9.99 at a mall food court I’d be satisfied, but at 15.99, there is no way it’s worth it. I won’t be back, especially when right down the road there is a place that blows this place away in taste, price, and presentation, with...
