It was a country jukebox bar and it was way better than anything around. Awesome bartender's on there game willing to serve with just a little wave or nod. Awesome atmosphere started talking to a couple about fishing husband and wife they've lived in the area for about 33yrs that I learned rit off bat with out asking. So I started that I was from the East coast side of Florida and liked fishing alot. So the elder man started asking where I've fished and what I've caught. And of course he knew every spot and what it was like back in his day. But after talking to this man for a good 30 min. He told me to go try a bridge which I did. He said it would be fun there's some Biggins. Don't know why he told me but I am grateful for his hospitality and trust in me not sharing his spot. But I reeled in a pb easily 48inch gar that I fought to shore off bridge. It was a new experience but goes to show that a little common interaction with people will lead you to things you never would have tried or done . Which in return when I caught that fish a little girl came up to me and asked if I was going to eat it. I answered back no and she asked why. And this old guy told this little girl that this was a secret spot that was passed on to me by an older gentleman that told me to return the fish otherwise the spot is no longer special. So I instructed her where to cast and place her drift the same as the old man instructed.well as I watched her catch her fish there it turned out to be a keeper red her first her dad was cheesin taking pictures. But when he said throw it in the cooler she said no. Puzzled her dad ask why even I was puzzled. first red and it's a keeper. But she insisted to let it go. Why you ask so that it can be there when she comes back with her father and so that it can make more fish. It's amazing how one kind gesture can make an impact on a growing mind. It was just an Awakening to see a kid go from catch and kill. To just being happy to catch a fish and watching it swim away to be challenged again by her. And I honestly hope that her and that fish have many battles to come. Can't thank you enough old guy at the bar.it was a fishing trip...
Read moreYOUR BOUNCER IS OUT OF CONTROL AND UNSAFE.
I am local, and have been coming to this bar on and off every few weeks for two years.
I know the bouncer who did this by name. we’ve met dozens of times.
I came in, bought drinks for myself and some friends. Walked to the pool table, hugged willard, asked who had the table next since someone had just finished a game.
Willard put money into the slots and dropped a new set of balls, he the started collecting the balls remaining on the table. I grabbed 3 of the balls at the far end of the table and slid them to the MAN WITH THE RACK ON THE TABLE. The Taller bouncer said “Nope, you’re outta here, touching balls.” He recruited the shorter bearded gentleman and while I offered verbal protest, and did not resist in any way physically I was kicked out of the bar….
I dropped nearly 60$ at a place 90 seconds from my apartment, and was kicked out for pushing the pool balls to the guy who was racking the pool balls…..
I would like the owner to reach out. I was as kind as possible and I have been as understanding as I can be, but your people have a responsibility not just to keep people safe, but also to pay attention. They laid hands on me for the crime of spending money in your bar. I’m sure he thought a game was ongoing - in which case these actions would be warranted.
However, the game was over, another man had just paid for a new game, dropped the balls, grabbed the rack, and began to rack the balls.
THEN I grabbed the 5,10, & 14 from the far side of the table and pushed them to him…..
If your people can’t pay attention what is the point of...
Read moreDisappointing Experience at Cowboy Up
I recently visited Cowboy Up with my fiancé and was thoroughly disappointed with our experience. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that the bar lacked proper service and cleanliness.
Firstly, the lack of service was incredibly frustrating. We waited patiently for a considerable amount of time to be served, but the staff seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than attending to customers. When we finally managed to place our order, it took an unreasonable amount of time for our drinks to arrive, and they were poorly made.
Additionally, the bar had an overwhelming stench of vomit that permeated the entire place. It was not only unpleasant but also completely unacceptable for a business that claims to provide a welcoming and enjoyable environment. We tried to address this concern with the bar owner, but instead of addressing the issue professionally, they rudely dismissed our complaint and promptly kicked us out.
This experience left a sour taste in our mouths, both literally and figuratively. We had hoped for a fun evening out, but instead, we were met with subpar service, a foul odor, and a complete lack of customer care. It's disheartening to see such disregard for patrons, and I cannot recommend Cowboy Up to anyone seeking an enjoyable bar experience.
I hope the management of Cowboy Up takes this feedback constructively and makes the necessary improvements to ensure a better experience for...
