Oasis Restaurant in the heart of downtown Fort Myers. Open for breakfast and lunch. Both are great!

April 4th - Chicken/Tuna/Egg Salad Plate. Three scoups of your choice. Served on a bed of lettuce, sliced tomatoes, and cucumbers. I love ❤️ it.

April 25th - Returned for lunch again today to Oasis Restaurant for lunch with the guys. A quick lunch in the heart of downtown Fort Myers. My two peas in a pod each ordered the smash burger one chose fries the other tater tots, just to be different. LOL. Have to say it was tempting. They were in agreement the burger was great! But I love the Tomato Salad Plate. I was a repeat order, two scoops of chicken salad, and 1 scoop of potato salad. When I find something I love, it's hard to tempt me and sway me to another choice. But it does happen. I do order the Bonnie's Bet sandwich on occasion. It's toasted rye, lettuce, tomato, and BACON, and you guessed it, the chicken salad with choice of side. Delicious! LOL. OMG went for lunch today, May 16th. They had a mac and cheese burger special. My son couldn't believe his eyes, he was definitely not going to pass this up, he did not and it was spectacular! OmG went for lunch today, August 1st. They had their cuban sandwich or the chicken chimichanga on special today. Both excellent!!! Wow, so good! They put so much thought and effort into the preparation of their food. Not just slapped together, you should really try this place out if you haven't, you're missing a...

Came here twice. Once for lunch and today for breakfast. Kind of “old time feel” restaurant with friendly waiters. For lunch I had the fried chicken, green beans, and paid an additional 2.75 for sweet potatoe fries. The fried chicken was very crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The green beans were seasoned well. The sweet potato fries were kind of mushy and boring. Definitely not worth the up charge. While very salty, I would highly recommend the fried chicken. My daughter ordered chicken strips. Non processed chicken was good but the flavoring was boring, and she didn’t eat much of it. For breakfast today I tried the homemade hash benedict on the English muffin. This was very yummy. I was kind of hoping the meat would look more like meat but was ground to look like mush. The biscuit and gravy was meaty and nicely peppered. The only downside was the waiter told me my biscuit was cold and she was reheating it. That was before even bringing it to the table. I’m not sure how she knew my biscuit was cold and I was not to excited about a microwaved biscuit. The pancakes were huge and the syrup was super hot. She asked if my husband wanted them buttered and he said yes. When the pancake came out it was soaked in butter. A little too much. I would probably ask for butter on the side. Overall it’s a nice place to try out with lots of options, friendly people, and pretty...

We have been frequenting the Oasis Restaurant for over a decade. We have always been patient as they have dealt with hurricanes, Covid, staffing issues, changes in management and numerous other challenges. During these years, it has not been unusual to have to wait for a half hour after ordering for our food to make it to our table. But today was particularly bad between waiting over 45 minutes with no apologies or explanation other then “They are cooking your corned beef hash ‘well-done’ .” That’s it. Nothing more other than attitude. It doesn’t take an hour to cook a breakfast. And, during this extended wait, tables that had been full of diners when we ordered, they had departed, new parties had arrived and ordered and they we enjoying their breakfasts. The waitress began to avoid us and when we finally managed to get her attention and we inquired as to what was taking our order so long, all she said was that they were cooking my order “well done” and she walked away from us. We did something we had never done in the 60+ times we’d been there, we got up, walked to the receptionist and complained about the service and our long wait, paid for our beverages and departed. We never got an apology or any attempt to rectify the situation. Sadly, after a dozen years, we say goodbye...

The reviews had me at “old time feel” and it did not disappoint. Something about the setup, friendly waitstaff, music playing, and the smell of the home style food just make it very special as soon as you walk in the door! I heard “the pancakes were huge, you have to try them!” So I did. And they were absolutely huge! But so good! I’ve never had them that thin being that big! But oh so good! And they bring you heated syrup! 😍 I also had the Hangover Omelet since it was the most recommended entree. It was perfect. You might expect a greasy omelet at an old diner, but this was clean and perfect omelet. I swear they must use one of those omelet makers you see on TV, it was loaded yet held together so perfectly! The hash-browns are always an indicator of how legit a diner is for me, and these were solid. A little thicker than I prefer, but still crispy on the outside so I can’t complain. Only turn off for me was the fennel seed in the rye bread, but I understand that’s a preference to some people so I won’t knock it! If anything, it shows their commitment to quality in everything, including the bread. Some restaurants will just buy cheap bread to throw on the side, so this “extra mile” is a good thing!
