In from out of town....we all wanted steak and my son since living in the area decided to take us here. The vibe is super cool being in literally a firestone building. Tires all around even the bathroom sinks have tires. We were able to get a table for 5 and a baby with no reservation and a minimum wait time to be seated. The server was nice enough but being on the 2nd level service was a bit slow. We ordered drinks and an app. The app came first. We ordered bone marrow which presentation was really nice. I didn't eat it so can't tell you how good it was but our sons said it was good. Finally the drinks came and they were really good considering we get our signature dirty/filthy ketel martinis. Most don't get it dirty enough but this was tasty. Next food came out and it was BLAND. Not just a little but a lot. Positive was all the steaks and burger were cooked just right in temperature. Brussel sprouts were hard and still had bottom stems. My d-i-law said same of her brussel sprts. The parmesan risotto was a bit too hard and NO flavoring. My husband had sirloin and au gratin pot. Tiny serving, a few slices and no flavor, spinach was a bit too wilted as well. Presentations were all good but I'd rather it have flavor than having to use all the sauces and extra salt and pepper to give expensive food taste. For a night of drinks we can recommend but for food it may have been an off night but probably won't go there again to eat.

Fun night out at the Fireside. Our waitress, Skylar, was outstanding. She started us off with water. Took our drink order and returned with our drinks shortly after dropping off a basket of rolls. The drinks were great: the signature Old Fashioned, and a Manhattan delivered ice cold. We ordered the scallops as an appetizer to share. We had just been at Hell’s Kitchen in Miami. These were better.. that the ones we had in Miami. Nestled on a corn puree and topped with bacon lardons and mixed greens the perfectly cooked scallops were delicious. Next came an order of Osso Buco that was as nice to look at as it was good to eat. The risotto and spinach that it sat on was a perfect match. We were on a time crunch so we got our desserts to go. The key lime is creamy and smooth with just a hint of the tartness you look for in key lime desserts. The chocolate tart was a big hit. The thin tart crust is filled with a dark rich chocolate mousse : a perfect finish to a lovely diner. The Firestone has a nice atmosphere. The three levels offer a variety of options for diners from the sky top bar that provides a lovely view and a nice option for those martinis mentioned in the restaurant’s name. The main floor and street level outdoor dining offers a full menu plus an interesting drink menu. Just there for apps and drinks? The second floor includes s a good choice for you. .

Five star food, Two star Service I have dined here twice, once a few years ago and another recently. The food was very good both times we dined here. Arancini is phenomenal. Steak was cooked perfectly but the Demi glacé was thick and served in a ramekin on the side, which I thought was unusual. I ordered potatoes au gratin and expected creamy, flavorful potatoes in a good portion size, since I paid more for a premium side. What I got was a tiny, dry side of potatoes. I returned these and ordered couscous, which had zero flavor and was covered in what looked like an artificial butter substance. Service last time was much better than our most recent trip. This time, the waitress let our wine run out and never offered to see if we’d like more. After our food arrived (delivered by other staff), she didn’t check in on us until at least 10 minutes after we received it. I ordered a desert to go and while we waited, we asked for our checks. She never even rang in the desert, therefore I never received it. Overall service needs help, but food was pretty decent. Not sure if I’ll be back on our next trip to Ft. Meyers.

On Friday February 23rd, I went to Firestone Grill with two other friends. The food was good and the employees were friendly. I had a burger and truffle fries (around $16). Since I was driving I didn’t order drinks and I only had water throughout the night. The final check among the three was around $110. My friend had a gift card that dropped the bill down to around $59. We decided to split the remainder of the bill evenly among us three, which meant we were each paying just a little over $19. I paid for my meal with my credit card and gave a cash tip. The cash tip amounted to 25% of my portion of the bill. Upon checking my bank account over the weekend, I realized that I had been charged $59 for my meal. I was being charged for the entire bill. I called my friend thinking that she may not have been charged. She verified that she was also charged for the meal; however, she was charged the $19 portion. I called the restaurant and the lady who answered told me in a very patronizing manner that they would look into it and return my call. I didn’t receive an apology for the trouble, just a promise that they would look into the situation call me back. My friend later called me back to inform me that the other party had also been charged for his portion. In other words, not only was I charged for the entire bill, but they also charged the other parties for their portion. I pretty much paid for a $59 burger. (59+19+19+50 These numbers are not exact as I don’t remember exact numbers since it happened a few weeks ago.) My friend decided to call the restaurant to explain the situation and to inform them that they double-charged two meals. Apparently, the woman that spoke to her was quite rude. My friend was also told that they were too busy to look into it at the moment and that they would call back later in the week. (Really, that’s your excuse? Too Busy? How is that our problem? That’s the restaurant’s problem since they made the mistake.) I decided to call my bank to take care of it. Luckily my bank was extremely helpful. A few weeks later my bank corrected the mistake and I received a letter from the bank informing me that upon investigation they were able to pinpoint the mistake on the side of Firestone Grill and refund my money. Firestone Grill has yet to contact me. If I had left it to Firestone Grill to investigate and call me back, it would never have been resolved. I’m still waiting… The manner in which this was handled was extremely unprofessional. The mix-up was a simple mistake that could have easily been resolved without the escalation of getting the bank involved; however, I was forced to contact the bank because I realized that Firestone Grill either didn’t care or did not want to cooperate. This behavior from a restaurant that mainly depends on word of mouth is unacceptable. Yes, they are serving a full house at the moment, but if their management doesn’t fix these types of mishaps they will see their clientele dwindle. I won’t return to Firestone Grill and neither will everyone I’ve told this story to. Those who haven’t visited have told me that they’ll choose not to go based upon my story. If I kept quiet I would have been paying $59 for a burger and fries. A $59 burger is too much to pay for when there are families who don’t even have $5 to feed their kids. I’d rather give that money to others...

My husband made a 7::00 pm reservation for the rooftop on March 18th, 2021. We had friends coming up from Naples and wanted to have a nice experience on the rooftop bar knowing the entry fee was $300. We met our friends at the bar on the main floor where we had two rounds of drinks, taking the second drink upstairs at 7:00 pm. The first disappointment was the bar did not have in stock the Firestone Cabernet wine that our friends wanted to drink. The female bartender was very attentive and gave good service to us and we tipped her nicely. We were there at 6:20 pm.

We go upstairs at 7:00 pm with our 2nd drink and a waitress comes over to confirm that we were the 7:00 pm reservation and the table did have a reservation name card with our name on it.

At 7:30 pm no waitress had come over to see if we needed another drink or if we wanted appetizers. I left the table to hunt down a waitress who was standing around the bar with several other staff and said to her we'd like to order some appetizers and drinks and she replied "what do you want?" and I replied why not come over to the table and ask us as I don't have an order for you, as she was standing next to the computer order screen and was going to punch it in. So she comes over to our table and takes our order for 2 bottles of wine and 4 different appetizers. I'm sure you can get the actual time of when the appetizers were ordered from the computer.

At 8:00 pm I'm raising my hand to get the waitress attention so that we can order dinner. After our dinner order was taken another waitress comes over to place a new reservation card for 10:00 pm and we still haven't gotten our dinner! How tacky is that? After over a half an hour I went to the receptionist/hostess desk and asked to speak to the manager. The chef came out and said he would come over to our table. We all asked when was our food coming (2 Prime Ribs, Butter Fish and several vegetable dishes) and within 5 minutes the food came to the table. The chef got indignant with me as I guess I was supposed to be appreciative of his effort in getting our dishes out to us quickly after waiting over a half an hour. The chef offered up dessert, however the waitress told us the dessert came with our meals and none of us at the table wanted the "free" dessert. I explained to the chef we expected good service for a $300 tab and it's been only horrible.

When you're expected to pay $300 for a dining experience and receive shoddy service and mediocre food it's a huge disappointment. I reviewed your restaurant via Google reviews and did not see it show up so far this morning. I sure wish I would have read those reviews before making a reservation as it's pretty clear that there has been a lot of unhappy guests with the service. I feel ripped off and I think I made that clear on the receipt.

It was apparent from the get go that we were not an important guest on the rooftop at Firestone. Perhaps management should provide training to their wait staff as for them being guaranteed a gratuity that they weren't worthy of is a bad...

Title: An Unforgettable Dining Experience at Firestone Restaurant in Downtown Fort Myers

Review:

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Firestone Restaurant in Downtown Fort Myers, and I must say it was an absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked through the door, the attentive and friendly service provided by our server Jay and his server assistant Keith made us feel truly special.

Let's start with the food. My husband decided to indulge in the scallops, and he was blown away by their exquisite taste and presentation. They were perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor, truly a seafood lover's delight. As for myself, I opted for the filet, and I couldn't have been happier with my choice. The filet was cooked to perfection, with a beautiful sear on the outside and a juicy, melt-in-your-mouth interior. Every bite was a true delight.

Now, let's talk about the service. Jay, our server, was nothing short of exceptional. He was knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations, ensuring that we had an unforgettable dining experience. His attentiveness to our needs and his warm and friendly demeanor added an extra layer of enjoyment to our evening. Whenever we needed anything, Jay was there, ready to assist with a smile.

To complement our meal, my husband decided to explore the world of martinis. Jay was more than happy to guide him through the extensive martini menu, and my husband had a delightful time sampling different flavors and combinations. As for me, I decided to pair my meal with a bottle of red wine recommended by Jay. It was an incredible selection that perfectly complemented the flavors of my filet, enhancing the overall dining experience.

The atmosphere at Firestone Restaurant is also worth mentioning. The restaurant has a sophisticated and elegant ambiance, with its stylish decor and dim lighting, creating a cozy and intimate setting. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect, from the meticulously set tables to the soothing background music, which added to the overall relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

In conclusion, dining at Firestone Restaurant was an absolute pleasure. The combination of impeccable service from Jay and Keith, the outstanding quality of the food, and the delightful atmosphere made for an unforgettable evening. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner or a special occasion celebration, Firestone Restaurant is a must-visit destination in Downtown Fort Myers. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a truly exceptional...
