I'm accustomed to good food at Wendy's. Last evening, both my wife and I were very disappointed.
My wife ordered two Jr. bacon cheeseburgers. She expected processed American slices, but they came with shredded cheese and were only lukewarm. You could argue that any real cheese is an upgrade from processed American slices, but that's the taste she expected from the items.
I ordered my preferred sandwich, a sock chicken sandwich. When it came out of the bag, I first wondered if they gave us the wrong sandwich. It was perfectly round like any regular burger. No chicken extended past the bun (This is the first time I've encountered that with a Wendy's chicken sandwich). When I checked the contents, I confirmed it was a chicken fillet, but the smallest one I've ever seen. It fit on the bun in it's entirety. In fact, the bun exceeded it in size. It still had some thickness, but it looked nothing like the chicken fillets I ordinarily received from Wendy's. When I lifted the bun check the fillet all of the breading came off on one side of the fillet. That's another thing I've never had happen with one of their chicken sandwiches. My first bite was on one corner of the roughly trigonal filet. It was tough and dry. All of the corners were dry and tough, and the central part of the filet wasn't juicy at all. I have no idea if it was sitting in a warmer for hours, if it had been overcooked originally, or if they were using some non-standard fillets bought at a local grocery store, but it was not good.
When we ordered, staff informed us that they didn't have any tomatoes. I'm not dinging them for that. It happens at fast food places from time to time. When confined with the cheese substitution and the really strange dry fillet, it makes me wonder if they're having problems sourcing things. It made for an unpleasant meal. If I have a chance to stop there again while on the road, I hope to find...
Read moreThis has got to be worst I've seen for Wendy's Numerous drive thru experiences with hamburgers. This is 2nd time in 2 weeks I've been disappointed with their food service 1st went through drive thru Ordered Dave's Double. Ended up being kiddie burger patties on larger buns with Lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, ECT.. Should of been called a salad sandwich. No meat hardly in it. Wasn't even hot. 2nd time was tonight. Went inside with kids to eat. Figured better hit foot Definitely disappointed. Double Baconator w/ Cheese. Wasn't even warm. Dave's Double combo This time correct size patties. Only cold and way over done like sat under heat lamp for few hours. Dried out. Kids had nuggets and fries. Hot and fresh there Spent $50 for another disappointment on food service. Should of known better. But now I do. Doesn't matter if dine in or drive thru. Bad service all way around. I eat at other Wendy's. It's hot, full size patties and made fresh when ordered. Check this one off my list, as not...
Read moreThe owner needs to make a surprise visit--his employees are NOT earning their salary! Husband and I stopped in about 5:30 pm, which should be the start of their evening rush But they're were only two other couples in the building. First, the soda machine was out of ice, so I had to go up to the counter to get ice for my drink. Nobody came out to check on it. When the next customer came up to the drink machine, I referred him to the front counter to get his ice. He stood there for 15 minutes and NOBODY came to the counter to help him. 95% of the tables were dirty, hadn't been wiped down from lunch (or the chairs either!) The floor was dirty and needed to be swept, and there was an excessive amount of food on the floor behind the counter. Hubby reported the men'''s bathroom was filthy. All in all, we were pretty disgusted with this location!
We both ordered the 4 for $4 special. The food was ok, but my burger was COLD! Not very appetizing. We will not...
