Significant Volume Difference & Food Hygiene Concerns

I’ve always liked Tilia’s boba but this time it has disappointed me greatly. I ordered a no ice milk tea (cuz I have cramps, icy drinks makes it worse). Turns out I only got a bit over half of the cup of milk tea instead of the full cup. What’s worse, there’s a disgusting bug that’s stuck on the heart shaped stopper. Ps: I haven’t drink the milk tea yet so what you see in the pictures is what they’ve given me just now. I understand there’s a volume difference between with ice and no ice drinks, but it will never vary by this much. I don’t think I’ll go back anymore after this experience.

As for the first issue regarding volume difference, you claim that we need to pay extra in order to get a full cup of milk tea. Please inform the customer promptly in the future when they purchase it so they won't get confused like I did. Or, you can simply change the original 700mL cup size into 400mL if you do not wish to provide customers a full cup of drink.

As for the bug, it's a dead bug as you can see the back of the bug is stuck on the stopper and the legs are hanging in air. The bug isn't alive and did not "land on the stopper" as you have claimed. That's why i showed multiple angles of the stopper to prove my point. If you are so sure that you can confirm in your store camera that there's no bug on the stopper, feel free to post it out directly. I also have evidence that after I purchased the milk tea, I got into my car immediately and took the picture 3 minutes after...

This was my first time visiting since they opened and it was delicious! I ordered a brown sugar milk tea boba and I will definitely order it again. :) The owners were the ones that served me, they were so nice and welcoming and even thanked me for coming in and to visit again as I was leaving. (Which I will absolutely do!) If I could offer some advice to make the drink even better than it was, it would be to either use less ice or ice that is smaller. The big cubes make it a little difficult to maneuver the straw in the cup. Also this might not be the case every time but I noticed that the boba could be a little softer. I think if the owners are open to suggestions, this could make the drinks a 10/10. Overall, I give my experience and drink quality a 9/10! I hope this place will stay around for quite some time! :)

Edit: I visited again and it seems as if the owners may have seen my review and took into consideration what I mentioned. This time I got an oolong milk tea boba. The boba was perfectly soft and it had the perfect amount of ice! Updated drink quality is a 10/10 for me :) this is my new...

Very good boba! I been boba from them since they first open! Unfortunately, the drinks are already fill to the brim with ice. Top to bottom! It feels like I had couple sips of my drink before i reach the bottom and just left with a full cup of ice. They should consider just filling only half the cup with ice instead of the whole thing!
