Have been here twice before this trip to Fl with very similar experience to our excellent waffle house at home. Very disappointing this time. We want to be understanding but there was obviously too few team members here to begin with and too many that seemed to maybe be working their first day without adequate support or training time. We waited behind three other parties while two tables sat uncleaned for almost 15 minutes; one of those parties gave up and left, something we witnessed several others do after we were seated. So we finally got to give the overwhelmed waitress our order 40 minutes after walking in the door. It was another full 20 minutes before our food started to arrive. Had been hopeful that the cooks weren't also new and could keep up with the usually slow pace that orders were being taken. In the end it took another 15 minutes to get all of 4 waffles and a unacceptable salad. We decided in order to get on with our day to cancel the rest of the order. If the other team member that attempted to apologize but just made excuses instead is supposed to be the manager on duty then she isn't experienced enough either, 4 months on the job and that's all she could offer. We all work in management and after the first 10 minutes waiting couldn't help but noticing that this shift in this waffle house lacked any proper direction and support that should (and usually does) exist from...
Read moreMyself and 3 of my girls came into this specific location after a wonderful event we attended in Fort Walton Beach. We had a few drinks and made it known as soon as we walked in. What else can you expect at a waffle house at almost midnight? All four of us are servers so we understand how the food industry works. I can say I have never in my life had a server treat us so terribly. She told one of our group that she was "being rude and that she was not aloud to be rude to her this evening because she was going to take great care of us" but as of that very moment not a single one of us could agree we were being taken care of in any way. Seeing as how we have all worked at many restaurants and never been spoken to or EVER been aloud to speak to a customer in that way it was the worst service we could have received especially from a place that is known for being that late night restaurant; to the point where it put your customer in tears. This kind of service in any establishment should never be accepted and all four of us are appalled at how your server has treated us. We immediately retreated from that location and moved to the one on Okaloosa island where Courtney took great care of us. She was a...
Read moreI usually try to write positive reviews of places I have been but Brooks bridge Waffle House in Fort Walton Beach Florida was the worst experience I have had at the Waffle House chain. Before walking in you must first step over the sleeping vagrants in front of the door.once successful at this you walk into the establishment and seat yourself this is where if you are lucky the serving staff is not in a heavy discussion about their personal lives I was not that lucky and had to wait 5 minutes till my server finished her boyfriend story to have her come over and get my drink order. The entree I ordered was cooked to perfection I will admit the food is fabulous. Only due to the fact another server was talking about her last night date my server did not seem to be entrested in that I received my order hot. That drink I ordered was it I was not asked for a refill and did not see my server outside the discussion circle my whole time there. 2 stars for the meal -5 for the service. Plenty of parking being they share parking space with a shopping plaza. There are several Waffle House establishments in Fort Walton Beach that you should make your best effort to...
