I had a 12:15 appointment booked for a trim. As I’m walking out the door she (I’ll be gracious enough to not name names) asks me to come at 1:30. Alright, whatever, fine. 1:30 rolls around, I get there. “Oh it’s gonna be another 15 mins.” At this point, I’m not even surprised. Since I’m right around the corner, I decided to just pop back to my house. Actually, I was a few mins late getting back (20 mins) so I figured that should have been enough time. Nope. Still dying the other lady’s hair, casually talking. 2 rolls around and nothing. I told her at that point my bf needed to get to work. “Oh I’m on the last strand” yeah lady that’s the problem. Last strand should have been done an hour and a half ago or you shouldn’t have scheduled me. People in the service industry seem to have forgotten the practice of setting appointments isn’t solely for their own convenience. I understand certain things in a salon take hours, but YOU need to account for that instead of wasting MY time. I would also like to add that on Wednesday when I first came in the place was empty so I was hoping to get a walk in. I was understanding and agreed to my initial 12:15 for today. I didn’t want to inconvenience them and their lack of clients. I just wish they would have had the same understanding about me and my time.
