Don’t waste your time or money. I’ve tried several times to either dine-in and/or carry- out but there’s always an issue with either staffing, order mix up’s or ridiculous wait times. I was finally able to get an order today but the shenanigans of this place was on another level. Placed & paid for an online order for carry out (p/u time for 2:37on Saturday afternoon) arrived to locked doors (customers inside) eventually greeted by an employee stating they were closed d/t staffing shortage. After explaining the order was made & paid for w/o any notices I was allowed to enter (to begin a 20+ min wait) door was relocked behind me after I entered. After being asked numerous times by the owner, cook, and manager what I ordered, confrontational staff w/ attitude, and listening to the owner continuously ask (borderline harass) customers waiting in line if they wanted a job (one person got fed-up and had to tell him she was a teacher and didn’t need a job) then proceeded to talk about his plans to open a 2nd location up north “where the money is”. Swear for a minute there I thought it was a practical joke. Reading the responses from the owner requesting reviewers w/ negative reviews to go online to give more details about their experience is silly. To the owner, you were there so no need to copy/paste that response on this one. Here’s a tip though, how about rolling up your sleeves & jumping in to help out the few staff you have remaining instead of annoying your customers with boastful useless banter. I was hopeful that the food was worth it all in the end but no such luck- 3 different types of chicken salad yet they all tasted the same bland and...
Read moreInteresting concept. They make several different kinds of chicken salad. I'm doubtful this kind of thing is going to go over well in Fort Wayne, but who knows? I placed my order through their app, partly to start collecting points towards some kind of rewards. My order was ready when I arrived. It was handed to me by a friendly young woman. The store is clean and spacious and has that "new restaurant" look. The restroom doors are labeled "Chicks" and "Chick Magnets." I ordered several things because I wanted to try a little of this and a little of that. Chicken Tortilla Soup was hot and pretty good. Pasta salad was ok. (I've had better). Fruit salad wasn't bad. (I've had fresher). Grape salad met expectations. Pickle was actually the high point of the meal in a way. The sandwich (I opted for the "Fancy Nancy") was ok...I mean chicken salad, no matter how you might fancy it up, will always be chicken salad. The tomato tasted like it had been frozen and then thawed, which was quite the disappointment. Every meal comes with a cookie. The cookie was ok but not that tasty honestly. I also tried the chocolate marshmallow Rice Krispy bar. As good as it sounds, I wouldn't recommend it. I would probably eat there again if I was in the area. Nothing was truly "bad." I'm not sure anything was truly "good" though either. Highlights: Soup and Pickle. Low Points: Tomato and...
Read moreToday, I decided to drive from Huntington, Indiana, to try your restaurant. As a small business owner of 20 years, the food, cleanliness of the restaurant, and service on the front line were amazing. Mar Med, Meghan, and Beth were pleasant and welcoming to meet my meal needs. I did see one worker drinking on the front line in front of customers, which is a big no-no with the health department. I also witnessed Meghan ask Dominick to go police the dining room. He walked out there and right back and did nothing. He wanted to go to the backline to socialise instead, but they told him no. He was more interested in leaning his butt against the counter where food goes and playing with the table kites and singing. Dominick isn't much of a team player. Also, he needs to wear a belt bc pulling up your pants on the front line while serving customers isn't proper. Now, I couldn't see the backline, so I can not really critique them. I will give you a high five on the fact that no one was on their cellphone during my 20-minute wait. There is room for improvement with being new to town ... hence the 4...
