We had Christmas Eve reservations for 3:45 pm at the Fort Wayne location. Our children had their food delivered promptly, at our request, and our appetizer and beverages (water and one cocktail) were also brought to the table quickly. However, after 1 hour and 45 minutes, my wife and I still had not received our entrees. Guests seated at other tables who had similar seating times had finished their meals and left. The server apologized and told us that our meals would be comped and they would put our dinners in to go boxes. As we were not going home afterwards, we declined this offer, though cold meals in to go boxes isn't exactly my idea of fine dining on Christmas Eve. Since our two kids had long since finished their meals, they were getting restless and it was in our best interest to leave. Since the waitress still served us, I asked her to charge our credit card so that I could leave her a tip. She still worked and was entitled to something for her efforts. She charged our card $1.01 and I left her a $30.00 tip. They still brought the dinners out in to go boxes, despite us asking them not to, so we refused them since we wouldn't be able to eat them that evening due to other plans. The server insisted we take carrot cake home, which we later threw away as that's not something we eat. But we took it since it was seemingly obligatory if we wanted to leave. So we spent $31.01 for two kids meals, one berry martini, one order of sweet and spicy shrimp, a bowl of french onion soup and two hours of our valuable time on Christmas Eve. And the only person to apologize was the server, despite the fact there were three managers wandering around, checking on other tables to ask how their meals were. So our Christmas Eve dinner was ruined and we walked out of the restaurant essentially paying for what we did receive and with a to-go bag of carrot cake that we didnt ask for, didnt want and which we threw away. I've got to say, this was an awful experience....truly perhaps the worst dining experience of my life and most certainly the absolute worst Christmas Eve dinner. My wife and I had high hopes for a relaxingholiday dinner with our two kids but in the end it was a tremendous disappointment. Shame on the management at the Fort Wayne location for allowing this to happen and for not offering an apology. Truly a disgrace, especially for a place that prides itself on...
Read moreSeven of us enjoyed dinner here yesterday. As usual, it was wonderful. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We started with appetizers of the crab cakes, sweet & spicy shrimp, the BBQ shrimp, and the filet mignon potstickers. All of them were delicious! I tried the jambalaya for my entree on the Fire & Fresh menu. I didn’t realize it is served with a wide pasta rather than the traditional rice, which is what I would have preferred, but the flavor was still very good. Others in our group ordered and raved about the lobster Oscar filet, the rack of lamb, and the sea bass. The only side dish that disappointed was the jalapeno potatoes au gratin. Instead of a creamy white cheese sauce and plenty of jalapeno pieces, it had very little jalapeno and cheddar cheese. I would not order that again. EASTER BRUNCH BUFFET: This awesome buffet has everything! The one thing I do wish it also had is a couple choices of soup, for instance their clam chowder or lobster bisque. A gumbo would also be delicious!. We also went for the Mother’s Day Buffet today and it was almost as good. But the ladies did not get a rose today ( probably due to the tariffs increasing flower prices), or pictures. However, the cocktail sauce for the shrimp was more like catsup than cocktail sauce. I think they should offer a mild and a horseradish spicy options for the shrimp. I also wish they would have 2 crockpots of their clam chowder and lobster bisque soups! A seafood gumbo would also be a good addition. The service, as usual, was outstanding! When we were leaving, I asked to make reservations for their Father’s Day buffet and was told they don’t do a buffet for Father’s Day, they just open early that day. WHAAAAT???? Come on, Eddie’s, do a buffet for...
Read more** update!!! They called me back and said that they are sorry and they offered to give me a dinner for me and my girlfriend for absolutely free. I won't be taking them on that offer because I don't really believe in that but I changed my review because of this!!!! Thank you for makingthis right!!!!! -----‐-----------------My girlfriend and I went there yesterday. I reserved a table through Google 30 minutes in advanced. Got there still had to wait 10 minutes. The place was not busy. Candace was our server. She DID NOT want to be there!!! Took wayyyyyyy too long for her to get my coke. I can Get over all of that. What got me was when we ordered we pointed to what we wanted and said what we wanted. Apparently I don't know how to order off of a menu. The reason that I say that is because I was expecting a salad to come out because I ordered from the portion of the menu that comes with a salad and my meal. I asked Candace where our salads were? She said you didn't order the salads. I then said we ordered off of the menu portion where we get salads. She then said well you didn't specifically say that you wanted the chef special. I asked to look at a menu And then ask speak to manager. I told the manager what happened and I apologized. She never apologized she said maybe there was some sort of miscommunication. I really don't know how that could be but I apologized again and said it was my fault. She then proceeded to let me take the blame twice actually And went to go Check on our food. The food was great! Candace and the...
