I’ve been a regular at this Qdoba location for about a year now and we always tip, but after today’s experience, I won’t be coming back. My husband and I placed an online order in the parking lot as we normally do. We got in line simply to ask for some sauces on the side.
Out of nowhere, an employee named Chris became incredibly rude and unprofessional. He snapped at my husband for “ordering online and then waiting in the line as the food was being made” and “causing the line to build up and that “we caused a commotion”. He said, “I don’t know why you decide to order your food online when you’re outside in the parking lot at 4:20 when it says it’ll be ready at 4:33 and you decide to wait in line and cause the line to build up. It doesn’t make sense.” We’re always so nice to everyone and were kind of dumbfounded that he gave us an attitude about the whole situation.
That comment alone was unnecessary and disrespectful, but it didn’t stop there. After we left the counter, I overheard him say something under his breath as we were walking out. I went back to ask for his name because I wanted to complain about the whole situation , and he disrespected me directly as well—enough that i came out visibly upset which my husband noticed. My husband went back in and calmly asked his coworker to tell him to watch his mouth, and he doubled down on his rude attitude and even threatened to “ban” us. My husband also asked him what the difference would have been if we would have came inside, placed the order in person, asked for some things on the side, and scanned our rewards there through the QR code and paid at the register. He didnt have anything logical to say about what the difference would have been either.
This was a complete overreaction to a normal customer interaction. If standing in line for extras after ordering online was a problem, all he had to do was politely ask us to step aside—not scold us or make it personal.
We’ve always supported this location, but this kind of treatment is unacceptable. I hope management takes this seriously because no customer deserves to be spoken to this way—especially when they’re just trying to...
Read moreThis place used to be so good. But yesterday (January 19th) I went to get a bowl of nachos with a friend who ordered another bowl item. It cost $20 for the two of us (When I would have gladly spent that at Cebollas, Agaves, or Casa Grande). This is further irritating when I am a college student with a university that has a deal with the restaurant for $7 entrée and drink.
Long story short as possible both of us got food poisoning. I have stomach cramps, diarrhea and dry heaving that's persisting to the time I wrote this. I am struggling to hold down food and water therefore, I have a migraine to while writing this.
Much to my shame as I am a ServSafe certified manager and certified instructor I still ordered despite obvious signs of cross-contamination and cross-contact. Also the tables were DISGUSTING. Obviously not sanitized, let alone clean. Might I remind you we are in a pandemic? Also the handle of one of the serving utensils was in my food for a brief moment due to reckless placement.
If my friend wasn't persistent I would have complained to the management. The restroom also was disgusting. The service was well below subpar. We won't be coming back.
If I was to complain to the board of health or any other regulatory authority the restaurant would have...
Read moreWalked in last night there was a couple ahead of me and a gentleman walked in behind me. There wasn’t anyone at the counter, or anywhere in sight. Then an employee came out from the back, didn’t acknowledge us, and started cutting chicken. Then a woman whom I’m assuming was on lunch was eating in the dining area stood up and walked to the back. Then another woman came up and said “someone will be with you in a minute” and went back to the back, waiting more… finally the woman who was eating came to help us. She was very nice and friendly.
Now the food: I ordered a burrito to split and two queso and chips for my husband and I. The burrito ingredients were not good the cilantro rice was very hard, and the chicken was dry like it had been sitting for a long time. The queso and chips, I’m not sure if they changed how the queso was made or if it’s bagged whatever, it is not how it use to be. its very thin and watered down with not much flavor, and the chips are so stale and salty it makes your butt pucker. We moved here about 9 years ago and qdoba use to be sooooo good, chance after chance I figured it would get better but honestly I will probably...
