So, I love 54th Street, usually. We've been there often and it's been great, apart from his time. We decided to go to 54th Street for my daughters birthday celebration. This time the server was horrible. We waited 30 minutes to order, In my book that way too long, in that 30 minutes we saw the waiter about 5 times walking back and froth to the table one table over, busting the table across from ours and talking over by the registers with other employees. At one point we were able to order an appetizer, then he ran off again. Finally I had to rudely get his attention by excuse me, can we order our food! When we mentioned why we were upset he blamed the complicated table. more attentive, then we started to order and we'll we were told that we couldn't order something without cheese because all the pasta has already been tossed in cheese. So back to the menu we went, for another 5 -10 minutes. I feel like if he was more attentive we could have gotten to ask questions and not waste 40 minutes of our time. -needs to be educated on the food on the menu also knowing now that my daughter had a dairy allergy we suggested the potatoe soup without cheese. Well that soup as a dairy base. So I call the manager over and he takes the potatoe soup away and brings her a steak one. food - I always get the fried shrimp Mac and cheese and fries. This time the Mac and cheese was COLD, that never happens. Then since Im allergic to tomato based items I couldn't eat the ketchup it cocktail sauce so I asked for ranch... The bill can and I was charged extra for the ranch!!!!
_Being unprofessional, I got the feeling that the server was telling his story of our interaction to his co workers because other servers would walk by and give me sour looks and we even got an sore look and attitude from the server who brought us our food. When we left we got stares instead of well wishes.
Again my daughter's birthday celebration! She enjoyed the food, when we finally was able to order her something without...
Read moreI visited 54th Street today on hwy 35 North. I was super excited due to my experience at other locations. This location was very disappointing. When I first arrived, the greeters were nice. Our waiter came to my booth within 5 minutes to take our drink order. He came back 7-8 minutes to see if we were ready to order, which made me happy. He brought our drinks pretty quick so now we were waiting on our appetizer. We got our appetizer, drinks, and food within a reasonable time frame. I started eating my buffalo wings and the kids were eating when I realized we did not have any napkins. I waited to see if our waiter was coming back when 5-10 minutes passed. So, I decided to ask another waiter for napkins and the kids wanted refills on their drinks. We got the napkins and refills so we finished eating for about another 15 minutes. At this point I was ready for to-go boxes and my ticket, so I kept looking to see if my waiter was finally going to come back. After waiting for another 5-10 minutes I stopped a waitress and asked her if she can have my waiter to come to my table. A few minutes later a waitress comes and asks how can she help me and ofcourse I was frustrated and gave her an attitude and asked her where is my waiter? She explained that he left, which made me even more angry. I said he did not have the courtesy or decency to let me know he was leaving or even pass our table to another waiter/waitress! She tried to apologize and said she was going to let the manager know. She brought my ticket, I closed it out and went to the restroom. Once I got myself and my grandkids together, we grabbed our to go boxes and left. What upset me about the situation the most is, I never got an apology for such poor customer service from management. They never came out to talk to me or even credit my ticket. I have always had great customer service at 54th Street locations...
