Hobby Lobby — Local services in Fort Worth

I’d like to start by saying I LOVE hobby lobby, such a fun store to browse and shop! I usually shop at another location which I could rave about customer service but tried Presidio today because I was on the hunt for a frame I purchased at another location but I grabbed the last one and needed one more. I did not see it with the frames so I thought no big deal, I’ll order it online but I’ll ask someone just to make sure they don’t have one here. Three employees were standing near the frames, I heard an employee complaining in a rude tone about having to help yet another customer, clearly annoyed that she was having to deal with people. Isn’t that clearly in your job description?? Meanwhile I was wanting to ask for help but now felt that I could not. The lady who said that saw me and quickly said, “were you needing help?” The employee behind her said “she was probably debating on whether or not she should ask.” No one apologized for the awkwardness of the situation. Just blew it off like it wasn’t a big deal at all. Not knowing what to say I looked at the woman who hadn’t complained about helping a customer and asked if she was available to help me find a frame and then all 3 employees came to assist me which made me so uncomfortable I just wanted to leave the store. My 2 babies were with me so I didn’t want to confront the employee who was being unprofessional. I love going to Hobby Lobby! I always find what I’m looking for, and the store is well organized which makes shopping enjoyable.

That said, I’m giving 2 stars because of the customer service at the registers. Most of the cashiers I’ve encountered have been pretty rude, which makes me dread going back sometimes.

One exception was a young lady with long black hair and tattoos she was incredibly sweet and helpful. This review is not about her!

My issue is with an older cashier she was at the return/customer service line she has straight bleached, corn-colored hair. I was pushing a stroller and carrying a basket (I understand no one is obligated to help me) but when I approached one of the registers, she looked me up and down, then called other customers over instead of acknowledging me. Even though it was obvious I was struggling. 😂 Later, I waited patiently at another register while the cashier was having technical issues. When someone finally called for the next person in line, I moved over (still juggling everything), only for that same older cashier to suddenly appear and help the person who was behind me in line, completely ignoring that I’d been waiting.

It just felt really dismissive and unkind! If you hate retail that bad please find another job. Or if she was being prejudice that makes it even worse. If this happens again next time I’ll be...

Hobby lobby has staff stalkers. My daughter and I went in there on saturday 3-8-2025. We walked straight down 1 aisle to buy $5 to $8.dollar black t-shirts for a job where cheap throw away shirts is better. An announcement was made after 3 minutes to get to the isle. CLOTHING CLOTHING CLOTHING. Within seconds staff members were walking back and fo forth criss crossing and making it obvious they thought we were thieves. I am a large business owner and would never make family feel they were to poor for my Technician service. And judge their home as inability to pay Or not. They did the same thing 20 years ago at another location off 820 and Rufe. Self professed Christian company that made local and world news for not allowing female employees have insurance if they wanted to get birth control. This is why I don't do church anymore just TV services. I would not consider judging your ability to pay by looking at your house or car. STAY AWAY from hobby lobby oR be aware of your surroundings. They make you feel like a thief. However I was loud and vocal about their Christian stance. When I got to the register They dam sure didn't come over then.
