to the franchise owner of THIS particular restaurant, listen closely. There is a real and present danger growing from some of the employees in this location. I always have a specific order so I've been able to compile these observations from being inside this location longer than most customers. You would do well to come in yourself without being recognized of course and make observations on your own. I've seen on multiple occasions people in Golden Chick shirts or caps come in while I'm there and walk out with large bags of food without paying. 2 of the half dozen or so times it's been the same person who may or may not still be employed there who was CLEARLY INTOXICATED and who parked in the first HANDICAP SPACE w/no placard of course, come in and have loud disruptive banter with other employees then leave with bags of food unpaid for. I could go on with other issues brewing here but it's not my franchise and if you the owner cared about any of this you would already be aware of what is going on. Bottom line is this, not one chance in hell would I allow my mom or my sister, or anyone else I cared about go into this location at night. When this location first opened it was a great restaurant and the people working there were on top of things, courteous, and the food was and still is pretty good tasting. But something is going on here and getting worse with time. Last night I noticed a car in my nearby neighborhood driving with one headlight that wasn't from that neighborhood. I followed it (I'm retired law enforcement) out of the neighborhood and guess where it drove to and parked in a handicapped space? Sure enough, the Golden Chick location here that was CLOSED, LIGHTS OFF (1045pm), with another car in the parking lot sitting there with its door open? I watched for a few minutes from across the street and out of the door of this closed restaurant came a guy holding large plastic bags one in each hand and he gives one to the car I followed there and he took one to the other car and off they both went. I'll leave it up to the owner to speculate what all is going on in this location and if you don't mind watching your franchise turn into a haven for theft and whatever else is going on in here, it's your money and so beit. I recommend customers who don't want these types of people handling the food you feed your family, go to the Burleson location instead and let this one collapse on its own from...
Read moreI went here today and ordered a 12pc and two drinks. I spent over $40. This was my second time ever at Golden Chick. I came back because I enjoyed their chicken sandwich the 1st time.
Anyway, my 12pc was boxed in their paper boxes. My family finished and we had 5pcs left over 3 of them were the big thighs. (They have some real small thighs too.) When I went to put the chicken in the bag the bottom of the box just gave out and all my chicken went onto the booth and windowsill at my table. I cleaned it up and asked if it was possible for them to replace it because they hadn’t secured the box. The Hispanic older male at the counter told me “once I give you your chicken it’s your responsibility.” Which I do agree but I would think their boxes would hold the weight of their own food. He said he would give me 3pcs and asked me what kind did I want… I asked for thighs, I figured 3 pieces will feed my other kids at home. I get home to TWO not three of the smallest chicken thighs.
I’m upset that I spent over $40 on food here, half of which wasn’t even edible anymore… I wasn’t trying to get free food I was trying to get the food I had already paid for replaced. I’ll never be back to another Golden Chick.
So PSA: their boxes are not sturdy enough to hold the weight of your food. Please be careful. They will not replace your food or take any accountability for...
Read moreOrdered online. The receipt was correct but the food order wasn’t. There was only one of other customer at the store(they were in the drive thru). I went in to pick up the order. When I say my name the girl behind the counter gives her co-worker a funny look and starts saying “how she knows that name from somewhere” and how that’s “so familiar”. Then they finally came back to reality and gave me my food. I had ordered a gallon of sweet tea and a medium sweet tea. At first I was blow off over the medium tea. After realizing I’d paid for the medium and the gallon I was told they were out of tea. (They had the gallon but not the medium) I was given a cup and told I could just get something else. Okay, no biggie. Upon arriving home I find the family size macaroni is missing, the family size mashed potatoes were in three small cups hardly 1/3 full with a few drops of gravy on them. The half dozen rolls we ordered were hard and tasted like they were two days old. The gallon of sweet tea had no sweetness to it at all. Food was terrible and I feel like I was robbed for my money. I’d rather give my money to...
