Yesterday a friend of mine ( that I have known for many many years. Though never met in person) and I decided to meet for lunch. He is an hour and a half a way and logistically the sands of time was never in our favor to be able to meet in person. But yesterday, we made the time to have lunch and catch up. Of course as a native Texan, I have been to Ft. Worth many times. But like most places, just because you’ve been there many times or even all your life, there are places that you’ve never been. Well my friend suggested “Good Luck”. He reminisced about all the times he ate there “back in the day” and how good it was. It sounded great to me, and I was all in. He arrives a little before I get there. We walk into the establishment and was instantly greeted by the gentlemen who was cooking the food. The young lady came to register and asked what we would like to eat. I let my friend order first, as he was familiar with the establishment. She then asked me. Now usually when I go to these Mom and Pop places, I ask the employees what their favorite things to eat there are. And I usually pick that. This time she gave me three of her favorites. The BBQ chicken ( which they are famous for), the burger, and one other thing that I apologize can’t remember. But since they are famous for their BBQ chicken, I’m going with that. It comes with fries, but she told me that if I didn’t want the fries, I can substitute them for another side. I asked her how the cole slaw is. I said because some people can mess up some cole slaw. She smiled and said it’s really good. SOLD. And to top it off, HOT DAMN they serve Kool Aid. Large purple Kool Aid to wash it down. Our food is ready and it looks great to me. The chicken was tender and the cole slaw was great. If I was forced to nit pick, I would say the sauce was a little thinner that I was used to. But it tasted awesome. That was the important part to me, and that is what would bring me back if I’m ever in the area again. Good food, friendly staff, and great prices. What else can you ask for? Oh, and the lemon cake. One...
Read moreThe food here is ok but the customer service is so bad that it makes you not want to return. This a black owned business and the people are very hostile inside. You walk in they don't greet you they literally just stare at you until you order. I went with my fiancee and asked the owner what his specialty was and he replied "Everything". I then proceeded to ask him about his chili dogs because I heard they were very good. He just looked at me and didn't spark any conversation, definitely wasn't trying to guide me in the moment. My fiancee placed her ordered and was told she could only get 1 side. She then asked for another side and the owner rolled his eyes at her. I thought that was very rude and unprofessional of him to do so. We've been here about 3 times and each visit we got treated the same. We noticed when a white customer comes in they put on a smile and spark a conversation with them. We were trying to support a black business due to the fact that we are black people ourselves. This just goes to show you that our community is still enslaved in the mind and we are hostile toward one another. The food is not that great for anyone to be disrespected in such a manner like this. My fiancee and I went over to Cousins BBQ and we felt much more welcomed. The people were very friendly and helpful to any question we asked. Good Lucks needs to learn that customer service is the key to customers coming back. I advise anybody not to go to this place until they learn respect and how to be more...
Read moreGood Luck? More like BAD Luck. As soon as my family step out of our vehicle, I could feel bad energy in the atmosphere. As we approached the cashier, I scanned the menu to figure out what we wanted to order (It was my first time at the restaurant). I could feel the negativity reeking from the black woman and a woman with a hijab behind the counter. I placed my family’s order and proceeded to wait for our food. Once, I received our food, I saw that one of the plates were incorrect. I told the women that one order was wrong and they proceeded to shout and berate that they took my order correctly. Strange. Am I not the customer? Mmm. Anyway, as they continue to attempt to humiliate their paying customer, I begin to dissociate. Extremely unprofessional. Miserable human beings. Sadly, I am not exaggerating. These women’s attitudes were horrendous! Take your L and fix it. Very simple. The food was subpar y’all. Nothing to write home about. If you want GREAT barbecue you are better off doing it yourself or going down the road. I’m sure you’ll receive better customer service as well. BAAAD Luck Chucks. The end of the rainbow is FAR away fo here.
PS, that lemonade was terrible! Yuck.
PSS, It should be an option to...
