I had moved to the neighborhood about six years ago and was never been a particularly big fan of this company’s food, but was convinced by my other have to give them a shot. I downloaded the KFC mobile app for the first time and placed an order to be picked up in the dining room and it was a fairly easy process. I was notified that everything was ready within 10 minutes and as I walked through the front door, I was greeted by the dreariest and most depressing dining room I’ve ever seen in a fast food restaurant, no customers at the height of lunch rush and two counter personnel standing at the register, looking like they wanted to be anyplace else at that moment. Upon getting in the car, my other half immediately noticed that the dessert we had selected was incorrect, so I immediately walked back in to have it changed out. I was immediately told that I would have to contact DoorDash to make a change., which made no sense as I informed both employees that I had use their own mobile app to establish the order. I was then informed that the specific flavor of dessert I ordered was no longer available so the logical response was a refund which I was once again told contact DoorDash. Seeing that I was getting nowhere, I simply informed them that I would contact the general manager the next day to file a complaint, ask for a refund and walked out. After getting back to the car, my other half said, “let me try a different approach” and was able to walk out five minutes later with a Dinner Box sized order of freshly made fries as a substitute. She was able to determine that there was no shift manager available at that moment, and a third employee who had not presented themselves earlier, stepped in to take over with an acknowledgment that the two counter personnel were rookies and in the process of being trained. That gesture of kindness on the woman’s part is the only reason this review is not getting 1 ⭐️, along with the fact that the food was actually fairly good, but we also discovered upon getting home that our dipping sauces had been left out and one of the two drinks was a Pepsi instead of a Dr Pepper. This section of Fort Worth is notorious for getting horrible reviews in their dining establishments and this particular KFC solidifies that reputation. Read moreRidiculous! Doesn't deserve the 1 star. So, I went through the drive through this evening, they allowed me to order my $42 worth of food. I pull up to the window, pay them for my food. That's when the guys comes back says "I'm sorry but we're out of crispy chicken, can I get your original or grilled?" I said "original is fine" he comes back and says "we don't have enough original, can I get you some grilled?" I said "no, I'll just wait for the original to be done cooking" so I pull forward and wait the 13 minutes he said it would be. He comes out to the car with my food and says "I'm sorry we're out of macaroni and cheese it's gonna be another 15 minutes"( I ordered 2 large sides of it) at this point I was upset and went inside, asked the manager to please make this right, I wanted the crispy chicken I originally ordered, along with all the sides I ordered and paid $42 for. She apologized and said she would repack it all fresh. I went back outside to sit in my car in the drive thru and waited the 15 minutes. She brings me my food and reads the order to me and says she even added 2 chocolate chip cakes for the inconvenience. I thanked her and went on my way. Got home and I was MISSING the side, I paid extra for! I will NEVER go to this location again. Get it together!!!!
