Read moreOur visit today got off to a horrible start. We were seated in the very back of the restaurant at a booth and never once greeted during our 10 minute wait. As we made our final decision on where we'd go instead, a waitress finally asked if we'd been greeted. We announced that we'd be leaving and headed for the door. To my own surprise, I stopped by the cashier's station and asked for the manager. Out came 'Mo', the manager, and everything that followed was first class. He apologized for our experience, assured us that we didn't have to leave for a good dining experience, insisted on comping our meal, personally seated us in a booth at the front of the restaurant, and took our order himself without even writing it down. He then assigned us to an outstanding waitress, Cheri, who also apologized for our rocky start. Cheri delivered excellent service for the remainder of our visit. Our glasses were never empty. Our food came out on the fly. And Manager Mo even came back after our food was served and to confirm everything was up to par. I had the Colorado omelette and pancakes. My boyfriend's boneless fried chicken was very moist and well seasoned. He also raved about the flavor of the arugula in his house salad, a shocker for an IHOP restaurant salad and coming from a person who usually skips the salad and dives into the main course. Ever since I was a little boy, Ihop has been one of my favorite places to eat. Sadly, i've seen the service go from being a great family dining place to literal trash. First off, the manager wasn't even inside the store, he was in the parking lot for a while until he ran inside to get us menus. We sat down in a booth me and two of my other friends and we patiently waited for our food. Now I would say that I have a lot of patience but we waited at least 15 minutes for a waitress to come and even say anything to us. Keep in mind there was only one other table with people inside the restaurant. It got to the point where my friend had to ask for service. The waitress then responded with an annoyed sarcastic tone. She then tried to guilt trip us by saying that she clocked in just to help us. We were served in total 3 times. Once for our drinks, once to give us our food and the other after we were done with our meals and once again had to ask for service just to get a refill. I don't believe in not tipping, but that was by far the worst customer service experience i've had. They either need new management or new waitresses. Read moreUpon entry...Me and my party waited for about 6.8 seconds for a booth. It was clean this time. Anyway. A newer waitress accommodated our apetites. My party requested the orange juice and me, just a clear glass of water and a nice size lemon slice. Refreshments were on-time. No wait! My party and me asked for a few minutes to order as usual because we hadn't of seen one another in yearssssssssssss!!!! This particular morning was historical and monumental to us both. As we talked and began figuring out what we wanted to eat, the new waitress never returned. Kinda odd but my party and me understood. She was probably still in training and at the end of our meal -- we later confirmed that she was indeed still within her " training days. " Awesome !! Good for herrrrr. Let me tell you folks, me and my party enjoyed ourselves and our breakfast treats lol. I wish I could give this IHOP (20) diamonds -- Wait!
