My wife is Salvadorean and is always looking for a good restaurant from her culture. The place is recently opened, very nice inside but the music is too loud. I have never left a restaurant because the music was too low but I have left one because it was too loud. We almost left because it was like a club in there. Strike 1. We went in and sat down, we ordered our drinks and they got that wrong. My wife ordered marañón and they brought her horchata. She told them they got it wrong and the waitress had the nerve to tell her, no you ordered horchata. Maybe if the music wasn't so loud you could have heard her correctly. Strike 2 The menu only had one dish that had seafood, the soup. El Salvador is a coastal country, seafood is a big part of their culture. Why not have seafood incorporated into the menu? We also heard the girls arguing/screaming with each other in the back room. We thought there was gonna be a fight, seriously. The food was nothing special. My wife ordered the seafood soup. It cost $24 and only had 4 shrimp and half a crab and was mostly soup plus she said it wasn't very good. I had 2 tacos al carbón. They were so-so, kinda dry. I've had better. Strike 3. We will not be back, the vibe is "club" , the service is poor and the food is not worth the prices. Don't bother coming here.

I wanted this place to be so good because I am from El Salvador myself but it was a total dissapointment. I only ordered 2 tacos. The meat was terrible, it was mostly ligaments and fat, and it was tough, the flavor sucked, who know what the heck they seasoned it with. Just Terrible food. Glad I didn't order the entire plate like the waitress was trying to convince me to. Despite being curious if the other foods may be better I doubt I'll be coming back to this place. Take pride in what you serve.. food sucks

I met a few work friends for lunch. Very nice decor. Comfortable seating. The food was outstanding! The salsa was good, fried chicharron and yucca was delicious. The papusas were perfect. The Jamaica and Horchata were very good. Service was ok in spite of the language barrier. We plan to return.

I stopped by this pupusa place while passing through Temple because Google Maps and the sign on their door both said they were open until 10 p.m. It was just after 9, so I figured I had plenty of time to grab something to eat.

When I walked up, there were two ladies inside who saw me immediately. Instead of explaining or acknowledging me, they just looked at each other and signaled “no” with their finger. No words, no apology, no explanation—just turned away.

I completely understand if they decided to close early, but the way it was handled felt very rude and unprofessional. A simple, polite “sorry, we’re closing early tonight” would’ve gone a long way. Please update your hours or communicate better...

This place is mediocre, the service was HORRIBLE mind you we were the only customers there. The food isn’t good as well, me and my mom went and we both got 2 popusas each and waited well over 30 min.The lady working there at the front looked like she hates working didn’t assist us and also had a bad attitude. She just wanted to be on her phone talking and playing with her phone very unprofessional. She also was cleaning the restroom (taking the trash out) and going to the front touching things without washing her hands just disgusting I will never come back here again. Do not recommend this place at all. They need to encourage the server to want to earn their tip because this...
