Lisa's Chicken — Restaurant in Fort Worth

It was raining on the day I went to Lisa's for dinner. I had to wait quite a while in the drive thru as there were several cars ahead of me. When I finally got to the menu board, I placed my order for three pieces of white meat chicken with two sides (green beans and corn on the cob). I again had to wait quite some time before I made it to the pickup window. When I finally got there, they asked if I had ordered the 15-piece package. I replied "no" and again told them exactly what I wanted. Three pieces of white meat chicken with sides of green beans and corn on the cob. They were quick to take my money after they got the order straight! And then I waited some more! The young man on window duty finally asked me to pull to the front of the store and said that they would bring my order to me. I did and I waited again. And I waited some more!!! I finally left my car and went into the store to find out what was taking so long. I was told that they were out of chicken and the next batch would be ready in 2-3 minutes. Keep in mind that I had already waited for quite some time! The young lady behind me in the drive thru line had gotten out of her car and gone inside also. She had ordered the 15-piece package and guess who got her chicken first??? She had placed her order after I placed mine!!!! Why was my chicken not ready before her's. I let the young man behind the counter know that I was not happy and demanded a refund of my money! I got it, but I let him know that his/their actions were very poor customer service and that I would not be back again. And I won't be! Very poor...

I thought the food here definitely hit the spot. But what got me was the awesome customer service.

It's definitely affordable, simple, and straight to the point place. This was my first time to ever eat Lisa's Chicken even though I see it all the time, and I'm happy I went.

Food - I got the 5 tender meal with 2 sides (Friend Okra and Mashed Potaties with Brown gravy). I was not fond of the brown gravy even though I love brown gravy. Theirs here, just seemed like it did not have enough flavor. The tenders were delicious and the okra was amazing. The mashed potatoes were good but the gravy brought their flavor profile down a little. I also got the 2 piece dark to try the chicken. The chicken was a little greasy but delicious. All the food came out hot!

Customer Service - I thought it was absolutely amazing and was pleasantly surprised. You know some places just seem like they get foot much traffic to where you'd think they'd be jaded of people. Well, this place gets the traffic but keeps the kindness and consideration. The drive through guy, wish I got his name, recommended some great things to me and was extremely helpful. I belong to a group that uses Lisa's Chicken for its montly meal. Never had a complaint about the food, chicken, fish or any sides. I have went to this location on many different occasions since it been open. They are never busy but it always take a long time to be waited on and be served. The last time i went in I was the only customer in the restraunt. After i got my order i went back up to the cash register to pay for a soda. I stood at the window and watched all four of the staff come by the window and no one ask what i needed. After more than 10 minues one staff told another staff to come wait on me. That staff took a long time before they did. I am not exaggerating or by any means complaining. I like eating at Lisa's they have good food with good customer service usually.
