First time this happens not only in a McDonald's but in my whole life. I got inside of this location with a FOLDABLE electric scooter. Which I've done before. This guy, Latino, around 35 yo, beard, don't know if he was the "store manager" in that moment or just an arrogant employee, says "man the scooter outside". Not even hi, hello and he calls me "man", not even "sir". So disrespectful. I say that I don't want my scooter to get stolen and I can leave it inside at the door or just bring it with me at the table and fold it under the table (booth). He says "no man there's a sign outside" (NO SIGN ACTUALLY PRESENT). He lied. I had to leave my scooter outside. He says "if someone trips on it I am responsible" and I say "I also have a backpack, if I put it on the floor and someone trips on it are you also responsible? Should I leave my backpack outside? And what about wheelchairs?". He was not able to respond. After ordering I saw him whispering something in the ear of the person taking care of my order. When the order was ready another guy drops the order on the counter by shooting me a nasty look. Not even "here's your order sir" or anything. After finishing I stand up and the latino guy stares at me for 5 secs, no smile, to challenge me, (he had customers in front of him) and I say "when customers leave you should say goodbye". He says "I didn't see you". I say "you were staring at me". He says "I didn't know you were leaving". I say "I am". He suddenly puts a smile on his face and says "have a good day sir". At least I taught him a bit of education, probably useless. The other people were shocked. One looked at me and said "what a terrible employee". If the time and day can help identify this guy (June 17th, 3.15 pm). Cherry on the cake, a family member is a BIG SHAREHOLDER of the company. If no steps are taken, this complaint will reach Mr Joseph Erlinger, Christopher Kempczinski, Tiffanie Boyd and other big...
Read moreNice people, fast service, food is what you would expect from McDonald's. I have deducted a star for two because of the following:
They didn't have a breakfast menu at breakfast time. They told me to just order whatever I wanted. I do not frequent McDonald's enough to have their menu memorized, so I just mumbled and then said the word McMuffin. They asked if I wanted a meal, so I said yes. So I guess I had set myself up to receive some mystery muffin.
They apparently did not have this mystery meat muffin ready, so they asked me to pull forward. Which is fine, I understand that they may not have mystery meat piping hot, and I appreciate that they took the time to gather and/or construct what I was to be served. I was not anticipating a fifteen minute wait, but I had time.
At some point during my wait, I saw an employee retrieve a mysterious bag from their trunk. I assume that is where they keep the mystery meat, so I was expecting something piping hot. Some time later, a different employee approaches and sheepishly hands me a wadded up paper bag with grease, fat, or some other meat-juice leaking through. I thank them, and they stare at me for several long moments.
I stared back and felt the profound void behind their eyes. All the same, they left, I parked, and opened my bag. There was a half wrapped biscuit leaking some pale, yellowish fluid. It was partially covered, partially filled with cheese. I cannot fully describe the horrifying appearance of this aesthetic abomination, but I can tell you how it...
Read moreThere is no way for someone to make a walk up order at this restaurant at this time. We did not desire to eat in the restaurant. Dine-in is not allowed at this time, but we very often walk up, order inside and bring it home (walking off the calories haha) even though the dining room is not open for dining.
My son and I decided to take an evening walk through our neighborhood (Arlington Heights) and take it home to eat. Was very disappointed that the manager would not allow us to order inside (we were wearing masks) nor would they allow us to wait outside at the door. It was against policy to serve us at the drive through. We were not able to order for pickup through the app either.
The young man at the window was very kind, but the manager was not at all accommodating because we walked instead of drove. Bummer. They threw away the food they made and we left without being able to pay. Sad day. Beautiful walk though.
My son made me come back on here and add a star because after we walked all the way home, got in the car, and drove back up to McDonald’s to order from a gasoline-driven automobile, The fries were good, which is worth something...
