I cannot say enough wonderful things about this tattoo shop. Me and my partner came here for a flash tattoo on May the 4th. It was my first tattoo and they made me feel so welcome and were beyond nice to us.
From the moment we walked up, Abe greeted us with a smile and helped us get on the waiting list for our tattoo. He warned us the wait was about two hours, so we grabbed food and walked around a bit, then made our way back to the waiting area. Can I just say, Abe is a freakin sweetheart. He was so nice and honestly had such great energy about him. Definitely would come back here just based on our interaction with him alone.
Now, for the tattoo itselfā¦.Gordi did both our pieces and I went first. Gordi actually works at a different location, but his brother works at the shop and was helping out for the flash day. He was super chill and nice, and when I mentioned it was my first tattoo, he told me he loves tattooing people when itās their first time. He offered to add more depth in color to the design that I picked from the flash tattoo list from 2023. I told him to do whatever he wanted and let him have at it. Iām so glad I let him do his thing, because the color turned out amazing against my skin tone! I will gladly book with him in the future.
While my partner was getting his tattoo, Caleb told me they would let me pick out a free t-shirt from their collection for me to take home. It was so sweet of them to do that and Caleb was also incredibly genuine and nice. He was all smiles and really made me feel at home.
Iām definitely a sunshine and rainbow type of gal, so the fact everyone was so friendly and nice really meant a lot to me. They definitely went above and beyond, especially on a busy day for them.
To top off the wonderful experience we had, we were both entered into their raffle to win the light saber they had on display. Needless to say, my partner found out later that night that he had won! He never wins anything, and if you know him at allā¦.you know that Star Wars is his life. This is the way. When we went back on Monday to retrieve his first ever light saber, they were so helpful and Josh helped us take it apart and gave us all the parts that came with it.
I realize this review is super long, but when you find exceptional service, and they do it with love and a smile, you want the world to know. DEFINITELY...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLove their tattoos and cleanliness, the piercings not so much. It gives me teenage worker vibes, although I know theyāre slightly older. I was hesitant to leave a review because the manager was super accommodating but I went in for a nose piercing and it was placed too high. I told the young lady what I wanted but she failed to ask what type of jewelry I wanted to wear. Of course the nose hoop is stylish but bc of where my piercing was placed, that was out of question. I turned to her for expert advice but later found out she was a new piercer. A couple months later, my son got his ears pierced there. Heās an athlete so I had to go back and get different earrings. I asked for āregularā earrings that can be taken in and out but was given another pair that required assistance. We didnāt know this at the time. The piercer didnāt show him how to take it out, so he was forced to yank them out for his AAU championship game, which bruised his ear. I informed the manager and he had me come back for a refund on my sonās piercing and a complimentary redo of my nose piercing. I was given free earrings for my son but no refund. Iād actually forgot that promise until after I left. I paid for products again and spacers, although I was told they shouldāve given me spacers the first time. To top it off, the master piercer wasnāt there. I waited for her and called two days in a row to confirm her schedule. I ended up with another novice piercer who turned to me for guidance on placement. Although they are super friendly, I am having to get pierced for the third time. It was placed too low. I visited another shop for advice between time and the guy said heād been piercing for 30 years and placed the dot in the perfect spot. His first question was, ādo you plan on wearing a hoop.ā I took a picture and tried to explain to the piercer at Ink 817. I shouldāve just paid the other shop. I feel like Iām out of a lot of money and had to go through this for the 3rd time. I asked the manger what he thought about the piercing as I was leaving. He replied, ābetter.ā Better? Iām not a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAvoid this place and Nicole at all cost. I received my tattoo from Nicole and it's been the worst experience and tattoo I could have imagined. After the first session on my tattoo she rescheduled me to come in two weeks later only to turn me down after I drove up to the shop because she didn't think the tattoo was healed enough. She rescheduled my appointment for several weeks out on a Sunday without telling me I wouldn't be able to pay with a card (I paid my first session and deposit with a debit card) THE NIGHT BEFORE THE TATTOO. I explained to her I couldn't do cash and that I would need to reschedule to a day I could use my card. I have since received NO RESPONSE from Nicole after multiple follow ups and she has yet to refund my $60 deposit effectively stealing it. After reaching out to the manager of this shop he offered to refund my deposit ONLY IF I would leave a 5 star review with no comment of what happened, so these reviews on here with 5 stars and no comments should warn you that this place isn't as highly rated as they seem. Please do more research before coming to this shop as there are tons of other tattoo shops in this area. I have reached out to multiple other artists and they have all pointed out how the tattoo I received from Nicole doesn't make any sense structure wise and is sloppy so now I will have to pay even more to have...
