Worst experience ever. First of all, I ordered a margarita and per the cards sitting around they are $3.50 on Tuesday but the girl kept trying to charge me $8. Finally I showed her the card with the Tuesday price and she rang it up. But they never gave me the margarita. I had to ask for it multiple times. The girl taking the order was struggling just taking our order. I kept having to repeat myself. I ordered a large chips and queso and had to go ask them if they could give it to me while I waited on my tacos… the manager gave it to me but gave me a small queso. I had to tell her I paid for a large. Then… I had been there the previous week and ordered the shrimp tacos and they drowned them with the sauce. It was terrible. So when we went back 10/17 I requested the sauce on the side. When they came out one had sauce on the side and the other the sauce was again drenched on the taco. So I requested they remake that taco and actually spoke to the manager. She took my taco and then they never remade it. So I’m sitting there waiting until finally I had enough. Went to the register and asked for a refund for that taco. The girl I spoke to said she didn’t take my order. Does it really matter who took it? Just give me the refund. That girl had been training the girl who took our order and was standing there when we placed the order. Anyway the entire time she was processing the refund she just kept smirking at me. I was so angry. That was so rude. I looked over at the manager and she gave me a dirty look so I went over to her and asked why she was looking at me like that. She said nothing. All 3 of those women were catty and rude. No customer service at all. I will never go back there and will tell everyone about...
Read moreI have been to a couple of these locations around the DFW area and never even realized there was one on Camp Bowie Blvd in Fort Worth. Well, that is the one that my son and I went to today.
Rusty Taco shop is similar to many of the gourmet, single order taco venues that have really become popular in recent years, however there is a few distinctions about them that make this place worth the visit. For starters, the food is fantastic. Every taco has a distinct, robust flavor and some even have minor variations that change the taste entirely. Second, the service is usually lightening fast. Often, before I can get my drink filled, my food is waiting for me at the table. Finally, they are reasonable. Where some taco shops start at better than $5 or $6 a taco, Rusty's begins their offerings at around $3 and they compare just fine to the more expensive versions.
Also, at the shop on Camp Bowie, located just across from the old Ridglea Theater, the service there is top notch, always friendly and always prompt. When you find yourself on the west side of Fort Worth and you have a hankering for some specialty tacos, a stop by Rusty Taco is well...
Read moreMy co-workers and I were regulars here and often gave the staff our extra cupcakes/goodies when we were celebrating birthdays. One particular Friday we went and ate as normal. There were 5 of us and 4 of us became severly ill that night. It had to be the queso because the only one who did not get sick did not eat the queso. It felt like someone was stabbing me in the stomach. By Sunday I was somewhat better but my whole weekend off work was ruined as I was sick and hurting. I called for the Manager 1st thing Monday morning to report. I was told that he would call me back. Never heard from anyone so I called the following week. I was told that the "Manager" was on the way and that for sure they would have him call me. I never heard anything again. I then reached out to the Better Business Bureau. They sent communications to the store and guess what they never replied to them either. WOW so the pain we all felt for days could not even be acknowledged. I have never experienced food poisoning like this and how sad that not so much as an...
