Hidden gem!!!

I'm typing this in real time. As I'm eating. First of all. They just got themselves a returning customer as I will be returning weekly. This will be my go to place on my way from the airport until I move out of the area..

Just got back from a 2 weeks away for work and my wife suggested the place. No kidding, I was a little irritated. Cos I just want to get home n shower, so, I said we get to go. We got in, we were welcome and directed on how to order to go. We took long to order shuffling through the menu, finally we ordered and sat down for to go. The order was pretty quick and I was like. "here we go again" We got home, I showered and I sat down to eat. OMG.. don't take my word for it, try it. I did the beef rice bowl. And OMG. Let me break it down. The ingredients are immaculate!! Fresh. You could taste the freshness of individual ingredients and the flavor is heavenly. The beef, so tender yet fresh. Like aged marinated actual beef, never been frozen. The veggies are so fresh, it's like they cut it on every order. The rice so good like they prepared each bath individually and the sauce(Hot) so great nothing overwhelming.

I tasted my wife's chicken bowl and same. The freshened is outstanding. Nothing like the paper texture of chickens at most restaurants.

My wife is asking me how long this review is. Told her, I need to write my feelings as this issa out of body experience..... Omg. I'm going back. I won't be abusing it as I'll only be doing this after every trip. Issa ritual now.....

Yes babe it's that serious. Until they prove otherwise. I don't have photos as I ate it all. Next time surely. I'll update it.

This has got to be my longest review. I checked the low reviews and it seems I have to stay away from their curries if I want this relationship to last forever. So I...

By far the best green curry; the broth is prepared with coconut milk and not water. It wasn't too spicy and then it wasn't too mild. There were plenty of tofu pieces. The bamboo shoots were cooked well and not soggy. Though the spring rolls were just veggie, they were delicious and did not taste bland like most vegetable spring rolls.

However, the customer service needs a lot of work: the lack of two star to make this a 5-star review is because of the service and how I was treated by the owner which sucked. Upon walking inside, the owner immediately was disrespectful towards me. He assumed that I'd never tried Thai food and even mentioned, "You don't know what you want because you've never had Thai food before". I looked at him and told him that wasn't true. I have eaten Thai food everywhere and mentioned that I was from the culturally diverse city of Houston.

I'm not sure why he was rushing me to order; mind you, the restaurant was empty and there was only one person dining in. I had to search through the book of a menu to find what I wanted to eat. The owner was rude and prejudiced. I did not need his drama. Plus, I'm visiting the Fort Worth area and he gonna treat me like that. Terrible. I almost just walked out because of that nasty encounter, but I was hungry.

After I decided what I wanted, he directed me to order from the kiosk and even then when I wasn't ordering quickly enough, he came over there to rush me and even made selections for me. Like, chill, dude! Seriously, he was horrible. I guess to make up for his rudeness, he added in an extra spring roll to suffice, but all he had to do was be nice and not rush me.

I really can't say that I will be back based on the poor service and how they treat...

It’s the first time I’ve dined out in months. And I choose your restaurant because you have wonderful reviews and Thai is my favorite kind of food.

When I walked in, the gentleman who sat me assumed I didn’t know anything about Thai food.

I was a bit thrown off by the waiter’s assumption but I ordered anyway.

There was a group of White customers dining in when I arrived. They were finishing up and I heard your waiter ask if they needed anything else and they politely asked for their check. He was gracious and kind to them.

When MY food arrived, I wasn’t eating for 15 minutes before the waiter came to fill up my water that wasn’t empty. He then asked if I wanted a to-go box for food that I was actively eating.

To ease the tension in the room, I offered to pay for my check … EARLY.

After I paid and tipped, your waiter took my basil fried rice that I hadn’t finished yet away from the table and asked again if I needed a box for my curry puff. Again I was still eating and felt like he was shooing me away!

After a moment, I asked the waiter why my service was so different from the White guests that just left. He claimed that I kept looking at him which is why he figured I was done. He gave several other excuses.

But the truth is: I placed my earphones in while I was trying to enjoy my meal and I rarely make eye contact with anyone when I’m dining alone.

I finally asked the waiter if he thought I was going to dine and dash.

And his face gave me every answer I needed.

The food was good.

I just really wish I would have been treated the same as the White guests.

Because it’s 2024.

… because my money spends the...

In DFW for the week for work. After a week of tacos and Texas BBQ my stomach was begging for something fresh. I had no idea what this place was when I pulled in but the name “Scratch Kitchen” screamed fresh and I was not mistaken. I had no clue this was a Thai spot which is amazing since it’s one of my favorite ethnic foods. I ordered the edamame for an appetizer and first thing i noticed were the perfectly salted peas. They did not disappoint. The Pad See Ew was some of the best I’ve ever had. The noodles were made in house; the veggies were crisp and not over cooked as per usual in many Thai spots; the sauce was perfectly cooked it. For a noodle dish to resemble authentic Thai it needs to be cooked just right in the wok and these guys nailed it. My only critique would be to have a little spicier but even that is a small criticism. They surprised me with a complimentary desert of fried bananas that was out of this world, in addition to the tapioca that I ordered. I’ve never been here before but I will certainly be back!

When the owners are taking your order, cooking, artfully plating your food with care, then coming out to ask how you like everything, THAT is the kind of service and attention you want to come back for again and again. I came in just for the Fried Ice Cream I'd heard was so good. (It was even better than I'd heard). The pastry texture was excellent, gourmet ice cream (I can't stand Blue Bell and everyone wants to use it in their desserts) whipped cream and a cherry PLUS the one the owner thought we might share with my granddaughter (I was having lunch with her dad) he put SPRINKLES on to make it extra cute for her. I will make it a point to come back here as soon as I can. The #1 Chicken and Rice Bowl was great, I went for 'simple', but the rice had a fluffy texture. The mushrooms were fresh and flavorful (you don't find that everywhere), and the chicken was tender and plentiful. Can't wait to see (and eat) what else they do well.. Check this place out!

Wanted to try a new Thai place and this place had some good reviews. To start off, you have to order your food at a kiosk before choosing where to sit. The prices based on the portions were on the pricy side. I ordered the calamari and you get a few pieces, and it was around $9. My Pad Thai was $14 and it wasn’t the traditional Pad Thai I like. The color was off, since it was pink. The one I enjoy is more on the brown/orange side. The flavor was ok, but was still a bit of a disappointment for me. The desserts were also pricy for the small portions you get like the sticky rice was around $7 for small pieces of custard and a small amount of sticky rice compared to other places I’ve been to. Overall, it was ok. I’ve been to better Thai places in the area. Don’t think I’ll be back.
