Worst experience ever. Wish I could give it zero stars but unfortunately i can’t warn you without giving them something. I booked this hotel 8/7/23. I had worked all day then traveled 4 hours to Dallas. Got in at around 11pm. The first room they gave me had issues, the young man gave me another room that was already occupied, so the third time I go downstairs he proceeded to give me another key. I told him to go 1st because I refused to walk in on someone else. We get to the 3rd room and it’s not even clean. He was very friendly and was trying really hard after all it wasn’t his fault he literally just got to work. I told him I was just going to wake my family up and stay with them. He said he couldn’t give me a refund I would have to call and talk to the manager I told him fine and I left. The next day I call to speak to the manager and was told the manger was busy they would call me back shortly. Hours passed and no one called so I reached out again. The rude clerk at the front desk says they are in a meeting you will have to call back. I explained to her I had already reached out and I would be tied up the rest of the day. She proceeded to tell me well they are busy in the day time you will have to try to catch them when they are not busy or send them an email?? So I can’t get a refund at night and can’t speak to the manger in the day time? I asked the very rude young lady for the number to the corporate office since they were too busy to speak with a guest. She told me they are in a meeting and she can’t get the number to corporate and hung up on me. Of course I call back because now I am really angry as all I am trying to do is get my refund. Someone else picked up the phone who claimed to be a supervisor and took my information and stated they would call me back. Well I assume they are still in a meeting because it is now the next day and they have yet to return my call. I understand why the hotel is in the condition that it’s in speed of the leader speed of the team. The manager doesn’t care about the guests so why should we expect the employees to. It’s ok you don’t have to care the Hilton does. The entire chain of holiday inns are horrible now. I literately had to move 3 of my employees I had booked in 3 different states no hot water and dirty rooms seems to be the theme of Holiday Inns this week. Thank goodness the Hiltons standards are so much better. I could have gotten better treatment from the motel 6. Hope you had a great meeting while your company is losing business the small one night stay for me cost...
Read moreWe had previously reserved a suite that should have accommodated my wife, a 4 month old baby and myself. On Saturday October 15, me and my family arrived at the Holiday Inn located at Dallas-Fort Worth Airport S 14320 Centre Station Drive Fort Worth, Texas 76155 to checked in. Upon entering the room, I immediately noticed that the room was a standard room instead of the suite that I reserved. I immediately went down stairs to inform them and resolve the issue. I explained that I reserved a suite and my IHG accommodations states the same but the room she had assigned me was a standard room. The lady stated the hotel was booked and the guy before her had assigned the rooms already and my room was giving to someone else. Being very dissatisfied about the issue I contacted IHG to complain with them. They took my complaint and stated someone from the hotel’s management staff would be getting in touch with me within 24 hours of the complaint which would have been October 16th. Due to the room being way smaller than what we reserved, we were very inconvenienced due to needing more space and accommodations but we tried to deal with it. While sleeping we were abruptly awakened by someone entering into our room in the middle of the morning. The hotel staff had given someone a key to enter/check in to our room. Being very disappointed about our stay I spoke with Markett at the front desk who stated he was sorry for the mishap. Well, I explained to him about the horrible stay that we have now had: The room accommodations, being over charged for the room we were assigned as well as giving someone a key to enter into the room we were occupying. We explained that to Markett and he stated management would contact us. Upon checking out, we spoke with Sam who stated the same thing which was Management would be reaching out to us. Well, October 20 has now come and I follow up with IHG to see why hasn’t anyone reached out to me to resolve my issue and IHG stated Management states they have reached out to you and resolved your issues with a 35 dollar credit. I’m seriously disappointed with my stay, as well as how my issue was just thrown to the wayside and forgotten or disregarded. I’ve stayed in IHG hotels for the past 7 to 8 years and I’ve never experienced this nor had an issue be treated in such a...
Read moreFirst, the hotel was great. The overall experience was lacking, but that was related to the personnel. Recognize I am a platinum level member, so I stay at Holiday Inn's frequently.
Distance from airport: For some reason it listed this hotel as the closest. With only a few hours between flights I wanted to be rested.
Shuttle: The shuttle service was horrible with nearly 1 hour at pickup in the morning and then in the morning, well, we will get to that momentarily. The driver was terse and rude, not very accommodating to other guests.
Room: Room was huge with great beds and the typical pillows. I am not a fan of the HI pillows, soft starts with perspective. Overall the room was great. One downer was that I reserved a King and was given 2 Queens.
Food: Wings and a salad, nothing spectacular and was a wee bit on the chilly side. Flavor was pretty good, just wish it had been warmer.
Staff: Here is where they simply failed the guest experience. first, I called at 03:45 for a shuttle, told me it would be there at 04:00. I arrived downstairs and looked for the shuttle. At 04:02 the desk person came out and stated that the shuttle had left at 04:00. Of course, I was standing there, no shuttle. Turns out the shuttle leaves based upon the front desk clock which is 5 minutes fast, ergo, left at 03:55. The next shuttle would not be available...bingo...another 30-45 minutes. So, I had to take a taxi, at $30. When I asked why she did not state that the front desk clock is set 5 minutes faster than the rest of the planet, she simply stated "Would you like me to call you a cab?"
Truth is I like Holiday Inn. In general they are predictable, regardless of your city. I will classify that and state, people make the difference and between the shuttle driver the previous evening and the woman at the front desk the next day, I simply cannot...
