I positively adore Sushi Axiom; I've come here for a couple years, but my experience yesterday was probably my best yet. Our server, Grace, was astounding! She checked in on us to ensure we didn't need anything else and drinks never sat empty for long. With how packed the restaurant was that afternoon, I was impressed! I've been in empty restaurants and waited ten minutes on drinks, but here? No way. Grace was there to save the day. And the food? Amazing. We ordered teriyaki chicken with vegetables and the colonial rolls (these aren't raw, so if you want to try a sushi roll but aren't ready for raw fish, they're a good start). Everything was on point. I can't recall the last time my mom and I (admittedly mostly me!) finished off an entire order of colonial rolls with none to bring home, but today, my fellow readers, today was that day. While I do not have the names of the cooks, they're doing great work. I highly recommend you swing by Sushi Axiom if you have a chance; they even have a lunch menu available. You won't regret it. Everything from teriyaki chicken to pad thai to california rolls, they probably have something tasty on their menu for you. Update, 06/10/22: Sushi Axiom continues to amaze. I've had a different server each time I've been here recently, but the service has been great. I still highly recommend that colonial roll; the sushi chefs are positively wonderful!

So we eat at and order Sushi Axiom all the time. But the one on W 7th Street. Food has always been great. We ordered from this location on Hulen for the first time because we were closer this time. I hate to say but the food was nothing compared to 7th. It had no flavor and no color. The Yaki Udon noodles and fried rice were so light in color. It needed more sauce and flavoring. There are chunks of onions in both. The shrimp compared to the one on 7th as well. Very small. Cocktail shrimp at that. And temptation sushi roll? Couldn’t even see the shrimp in there. There was more cream cheese than shrimp! Usually we tear this food up and it’s all gone. But tonite we couldn’t even finish it. Sorry but not worth the $50 we spent on 3 things.

The temptation roll used to be my absolute favorite. Unfortunately, the combination of old fish and hot cream cheese didn’t sit well with me. I was only able to withstand one piece. My friend who has had the roll before also tried it and agreed that it was not as fresh as the 7th street location. After speaking with the manager he was able to offer $2.39 off. As a waitress myself I debated saying anything but it was incredibly unappetizing, and very dissatisfying seeing the lack of hospitality after seeking management. P.S. the tuna and crab nachos were once served on wontons are now served on Tostitos Scoops, just the cherry on top of a rather unpleasant dining experience.

Horrible management!!! My fried rice was disgusting and when i sent it back the bartender didn’t have an issue and offered to put something else in place of that. 15 minuets later the manager Tie said that he could only take 15% off of the rice because “they made it correctly and there wasn’t a problem on their end” and after i said i didn’t want them to remake it (because it was that bad) and to just take the rice off my bill considering i only had a bite, he refused. They remade it and then Tie brought it back and i asked if it was fried because it looked like steamed rice with sauce covered on it and i told him that and he said “that’s how we make it” and then asked if i even knew how fried rice was made.. i told him i did and that i just didn’t like their rice and then he said “aha! that’s it, you don’t like it, we didn’t do anything wrong and i can’t take it off just because you don’t like it” Never been to a place that refused to take something off the bill after the customer wasn’t satisfied. Not to mention he was extremely rude...

My experience today was horrible . The food was not up to par . I ordered the crawfish dynamite roll as I have before .This time the sushi came out cold, soggy and very unpresentable. I asked to speak with the manger (Ty) he offered to remake my roll although we have finished our meals I stated we were done eating already and ask if it was possible for a refund he told “I can not if you don’t want it remade then it is what it is and I’m not taking it off the bill “. Being in the service industry for 4+ years I have never heard a manger speak to a customer the way he did . I looked up the refund policy and it states that refunds are available upon request even though he told me the restaurant doesn’t offer refunds It is very unprofessional and disrespectful. It was extremely inappropriate the way he spoke to me. My server James was amazing and he did what he could to do to the best of his ability . If you want people to return to your restaurant I highly suggest you make sure your management works on their customer...
