Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Fort Worth

Usually a good experience. My daughter loves Tropical Smoothie and I don't mind it for the most part. However we just recently made a visit and ordered a Bahama Mamma and a Santa Fe Chicken Quesadilla. Usually it takes a few minutes and we are on our way but this order held us from 6:24:12 p.m. to 6:49 p.m.. As my daughter sat at the counter waiting for her order she was passed up by people ordering after her time and time again. She sat there until I came back in from waiting in the car, only to see her just being handed her Food like an after thought. When I mentioned that this simple order ended up being a 20 min ticket the employee simply told me that she took so many orders after ours. It is so simple to disregard the loyal patrons. This makes me sad and makes me believe that establishments don't care about the time it takes to make the money that we use to make business run. Point of sale kiosk for customers to input card payment is preset to, and automatically adds a 20% tip to the total charge. There are other tip amounts listed on the kiosk screen but when consumer attempts to change this to a different tip amount, the kiosk would not allow it to be changed and processed my payment with this preset, therefore "mandating" a 20% tip in order to accept my payment. I find this to be a very offensive and deceitful business practice. I have made my financial institution aware of this and have contacted Tropical Smoothie Corporate office formally requesting a full and immediate refund of this amount. After 7 days I received no response, and was forced to contact store manager directly and after multiple attempts, much headache and hassle, I was credited my fraudulently charged amount. My bf and I have been ordering smoothies from different locations and never had any issues. This is the 1st time I've ordered here right before closing time, and the gal messed up my drink. The avocado smoothie is usually very good and a little sweet . For some reason, it was super sour, and I felt sick after drinking it. Looks like i have stomach virus after that drink and have been having diarrhea. You need to be careful with what you're making instead of rushing before closing and dont know what you put in the drink. There's is no sticker on it, so I'm not sure what drink she made. She just gave it to me and when I tried it in my car driving home it's so nasty. Will not be returning becuz peep are so careless about customer's health concerns.
