A&W Restaurant — Restaurant in Fountain

My experience tonight was AWFUL! ! If I could give 0 stars, I would. I went to the drive thru and ordered a meal for 5 people between both A&W and KFC. My reciept said I ordered at 725. I was told to pull around and my food would be out. Meanwhile, I watched 3 cars from the drive thru and 4 people from the lobby go in and get their food and leave. At 755, I finally went inside to see what was taking so long, and I was told they were short handed, had no hamburger patties or bacon dropped and someone was supposed to tell me it would be a long wait and should only be 2 more minutes. Trying to be patient, I watched 2 more customers come in and get their food. Then a worker came up to me and said it would be 9 more minutes for biscuts because they ran out. I said I didnt care about the biscuts and wanted my food. Then after 800 I finally get my order and Im missing potato wedges, mac n cheese and the chicken i ordered was to be 3 drumsticks and had 1. When I asked for the missing items, I was told they needed to make more potato wedges because that too ran out. Probably because they fufilled everyone elses orderes before mine. When I asked why the fries and biscuts werent made when I ordered them or set aside for my order which came first, the manager said "it just doesnt work that way". Finally after almost 45 minutes, my order...

I went through the drive thru and I was the only customer there. The staff did not seem very happy to help. I ordered 3 papa burgers, one without cheese. I got up to the window and decided to add another papa burger which I figured wouldn't be a big deal since I was their only customer. The girl at the window told what I assume is the cook and I heard a female voice say "are you serious?" I looked right at the girl at the window, laughed and said "yes, I'm serious". Before I left, I asked them if they gave me one burger without cheese and they confirmed. I got to the office and, of course, all burgers had cheese. It seems like very lazy staff at this store. They would rather no customers come so they don't have to do anything. I have read other reviews and from the look of things...they might get their wish and also be out of a job. If the store owner is wondering why this store isn't doing very well I think you have your answer. Hire staff that actually want to work and appreciate having a job, probably hard to find in these times of everyone...

Every now and again I get that Friday mug urge for that fine wintergreen finish rootbeer A&W always delivers! Cool crisp soda and some onion rings. Gimme Gimme Gimme. I'm reviewing the one in fountain. I don't normally go there but happened upon it while visiting a friend. I'm glad I did. The counter person was very helpful, she pointed out the current specials saving me a bit of money. They are very service dog friendly and their dining room is easy to get around in a wheel chair. I know i'm dating myself but I wish we had one of the old fashioned drive ins with the window trays and frozen glass mugs again. Evergreen Colirado here...
