Poke Bros. — Restaurant in Frankfort

STEER CLEAR OF THIS TAKE OUT RESTAURANT Our first and last time at this chain. I ordered (2) bowls. The first was The Duke which comes with tuna, salmon & shrimp as the protein for $15.50. I was not paying attention as this bowl was being prepared as I was getting my wallet out. After getting home I was disappointed to find 4 tiny shrimp, ZERO tuna and 1/2 tsp maximum of salmon. I know because I literally dismantled the bowl searching for tuna. The 2nd bowl was High Tide with chicken & shrimp as protein for $14.25. I literally watched this bowl being prepared. I noticed 1 of the girls nervously preparing it as the only male (owner? Manager?) came out after hearing me say “is that all the chicken you are putting on this bowl for $14.25?” At this point I had 3 girls and this guy all chiming in telling me “yes, we give full amount, you want more it will cost more”. My instinct was to tell them to keep their $30. 00 bowls of rice. They continued debating and at this point I was not happy at my bowl having 4 people talking over it. I was pretty disappointed & should have walked out with my money (over $31.00 with tax). Knowing I was going to throw the bowl out after all the talking that went on 6” over the bowl she was holding right under her face- I dismantled this one and I weighed the chicken on my precise home kitchen scale. There was 6/10ths of an ounce of chicken. I have a photo. On the girls defense - they all seemed concerned about the angry stares the man was giving. He was glaring at their every move. I love this restaurant so much! Food is fresh and delicious (no matter what you get; I've tried every pre-made bowl and all of them are great), the service is always friendly and fast, and the atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable. It's my go to lunch spot! My favorite signature bowl is the Hula, but the Johnny Utah is a close second. Also, you absolutely have to try the Ube mochi. One of the staff members recommended it, and now I get two literally every time I eat there. I just can't stop raving about this restaurant, and now all my coworkers are hooked, as well! I had an incredible experience at Poke Bros! The service was absolutely out of this world. The lady behind the counter was so generous and polite. She went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. She even checked in on me multiple times and kindly offered me extra sauce, which made the meal even better.

The atmosphere here is very welcoming, and you can tell the staff truly care about their customers. I really hope this location thrives because it deserves to. Great food paired with outstanding service is hard to beat. Highly recommend...
