Most unfortunate experience. After the 1st visit was not great returned a second time on May 4th in the morning. After waiting for 30mins (i was only the 4th person and everyone before me left with a cookie in hand) I was informed that they were backed up with online orders and were not taking in-store orders. Just to be clear... they were not helping the customers in-line. I was very upset as there were children standing in the cold outside waiting and no one thought to say something to the people in-line that they would not be served. After the lady said to me she understood that this was upsetting, I informed her that what was upsetting was that they said nothing and are letting all these people just sit there in the cold.(btw they were still taking online orders at this point as a man walked in asking about his order and a very rude young lady blew him off stating he just placed the order exactly 34secs ago and just needed to wait). I was told that it was a good idea to inform the waiting customers, as if the idea was a novel one. What happened to customer service or basic respect for people? I did attempt 2x to email the owners to let them know of my experiences and heard nothing. If this is how this place is run I'll drive to Chicago for my crumbl like I did before and get the treatment deserved from an establishment that I am giving my money to. I think sometimes businesses forget they aren't doing us a favor by selling us their goods. We are doing them a favor by buying it. We will live without a cookie... will they survive...
Read moreI find the mobile app difficult, so the few times I've gone, I've ordered and waited.
If you're seeking a sugar bomb, this is it. The choices change weekly, but it's basically the same cookie dressed up.
The regular sized cookies are massive. Three people could share one.
Sometimes it's just what I crave. Other times, I regret it. The flavors are fine, but I am always (3-4 times), disappointed with the texture of the cookie.
If it's served warm, there is no real bite or chewiness. If you take them home, wrap them up, and refrigerate them, they're more like cookies.
Otherwise, I found them overly soft and gooey (under cooked?) and way too sweet, without frosting. After seeing that each cookie is 700+ calories, I don't visit often. If I do break down and splurge, I go for a choco chip or other naked cookie.
The prices are about $5 for a regular-sized (large) cookie, which is too much
But, my biggest problem with the place is that for each cookie you get a box. While it's lovely for gifting, it's excessive, and adds to the price and preparation time of a single treat.
They offer smaller cookies in packaging, but again, the price is excessive.
The employees are all sweet and polite and helpful. The store is spotless.
It's a splurge, though. I'd be just as satisfied with a $1.50 container of mini Oreos from the grocery which also can be shared with...
