Oberweis Ice Cream and Dairy Store — Restaurant in Mokena

I'm not sure who is in charge of staffing this store, but the woman I dealt with today has absolutely no business working in customer service. Her attitude was colder than the ice cream. I went through the drive thru at about 2:45 pm on 4/22/2020 and the woman taking my order was very rude. I asked if it was possible to make a shake with any of their ice cream flavors or if it had to be one of the ones on their shake menu. She replies, in a very harsh tone of voice "we don't do that". Okay, fair enough. My colleague wanted a cookies and cream / chocolate shake, but said he would settle for chocolate. So I ordered him a chocolate shake and requested that they put a little extra chocolate syrup in the shake and she says "that's how we already do it!". When I finally get to the window, the woman says nothing at all to me. When she hands me the 3 shakes I ordered, I said "thank you very much" and without saying a word, she shuts the drive thru window.

I work in customer service and the food service industry as a restaurant manager. If I treated my guests the way she treated me, I know I could expect negative feedback as well. Do better,...

Sienna was great at the drive-thru, very quick and super nice and very patient and understanding when i was ordering for the first time at Oberweis. I went back for walk in with my kids and I had to ask for the girl taking my orders name because she was so sweet and helped my kids pick out the best thing on the menu. My 3rd time there, one of the employees Keegan was very nice and made my ice cream amazing. The rest of the staff was just as great with big smiles on their face and the friendliness was heartwarming. Love to see these young entrepreneurs and highschool workers enjoy their job making ice cream. All the girls seemed to get along in there and have positive attitudes. A special thankyou to the Oberweis manager for training these girls to put in their best and to teach them about amazing customer service. I definitely recommend Oberweis, my experience across the street at Andy’s was not what i was anticipating and the ice cream does not compare to Oberweis. Great...

I am disgusted at the service provided by this location. We have been going there for years and always had a good experience but yesterday the manager and another older lady was not only rude but stole the money she was supposed to refund my children for returning 16 bottles. The attitude was terrible and she couldn't even make sense of why we could not get a receipt for our order. Then I spoke with another location who confirmed what I already knew and called back they were very nasty and hung up on me 3 times. At that point I called corporate and I hope they can do something about this. But I will not be returning to this location. I know they don't care but to steal money from a 10 year old is disgusting. It's not a big amount but its the principle. If you are not happy with your job find somewhere else to work. The manager had the nerve to say she couldn't remember or get the prices right because she was tired and needed...
