Nothing Bundt Cakes — Restaurant in Mokena

It was my son's 11th birthday and I wanted to buy him a beautiful cake that tasted good. I had tasted Nothing Cakes before about 2 years ago at a fair and it was delicious. I ordered an 8in STRAWBERRIES and Cream cake and an individual lemon slice from the store in Frankfort/Mokena location in Illinos. When I picked it up it Was Beautiful. The family was so impressed and we couldn't wait to taste it. IT WAS THE WORST CAKE I EVER ATE. MY FAMILY OF 5 WAS SO DISAPPOINTED. IT WAS TOOOOO MOIST AND LITTLE FLAVOR. It TASTED LIKE A CHEAP BOX CAKE. I HAD MY SISTER COME OVER,THE NEXT DAY AND SHE SAID GO GET YOUR MONEY BACK. THE BIRTHDAY BOY SAID," STRAWBERRY CAKE USED TO BE MY FAVORITE CAKE". The first experience was fantastic five stars all the way. The second time around not so much. We ordered the smaller bundtlet cakes all of which we're fresh and tasty. However, we also ordered a larger carrot cake at the same time. That carrot cake was dry and not as fresh as the smaller cakes were. When you're spending north of $60 for desserts you should expect quality at that price. At the very least they should not have sold me what I believe to be a stale product. Overall, I will give them another chance but I will buy the smaller cakes instead.

They are unorganized. We have preordered cakes online and come in when they are supposed to be ready just to be told “we can’t find it”. Also, have come into the store to order and come back the next day to hear “we can’t find it”. Not really sure the best way to order from them since nothing really seems to work for us. The cakes are delicious.

Make sure you follow up on your orders. When you get to the store don’t let them keep taking people behind you without giving you any answers. They have a tendency to skip right over you without an...
