I was originally horribly disappointed. I do not live near a Penn Station these days, but it is hands down one of my favorite sandwiches. I happened to be in Franklin, IN today and looked up to find the closest one. As luck would have it, there was one in Franklin a few miles down the road. It was 9 PM, they closed at 10 PM. I hurried and got there at 9:20 PM, to find them cleaning the grill and no longer cooking for the night.
I left dejected, and still wanting Penn Station. The local Wing Stop took care of me. Review on them coming later.
Update - 11 July 2024: So as you see below the link is for their email address, where they ask what time and what store this happened. If you read above, you can see both the store and the time in the review. This maybe a larger problem than the local Penn Station. Corporate? I sent the complaint via their system, copying and pasting. I'll update if I hear something.
Update - 12 July 2024: Someone did in fact reach out to me via telephone today. They were pleasant, listened, and really concerned about the impact of negative service can have in today's competitive environment. It is, and has always been, more than just a sandwich. We discussed not only my isolated incident, but how this impacts everyone from customer, to owner, to manager, down to the newest employee. I am so impressed after speaking to them, that I will try that particular location again, on my next trip through the great Hoosier...
Read moreI have never written a review like this before but am just disgusted by the behavior of one employee named Leslie (I asked her name) at the Franklin IN location. I have been eating at this location for more than 15 years and have seen multiple employee come and go. Leslie is the worst one with her foul mouth, eye rolling and slamming of materials because she has to do her job. I was there with my 7 year old daughter and Leslie yelled out the F word because she had to remake someone’s sandwich which was messed up. She slammed containers and spatulas around as they got busy. I have seen her stand toward the back and vape inside which is disgusting in a food environment. She makes you feel like you are putting her out when you come through the door…she IS GETTING PAID TO MAKE SANDWICHES!!! I have never seen anyone more unprofessional or unkind in my life and again I have been going to this location for over 15 YEARS!!! I never want my kids to see someone act or talk like that again especially while being paid to do a job. I understand it might be hard to get good help but there is no reason to employ someone like this to work with the public. She needs fired immediately yelling out the F word like that. I would rather wait longer for my food than to see her there again and I’m sure I am not the only one she has offended. Please understand I have never done this before but I will not subject my family to such behavior in order to continue eating here. Thanks...
Read moreI use to really enjoy this penn station, food was fresh and delicious and staff was super kind. There is a new female manager and the last two times I have ordered she has been there. I am not a person who leaves reviews usually. I typically just kind of take the loss and move on. Managing in customer service for 13 years, poor customer service grinds my gears but especially when its from management. I ordered over the weekend and the phone greeting was immediately informed that they closed in 30 minutes, I asked can I still order and was told yes if I could get there within 15 minutes. I still ordered and I even apologized that they had to make my sandwich so close to close. (This is all interaction with the manager) I then placed a door dash order this evening. About $60 worth, I called to ask to have mayonnaise added to a sandwich employee that answers the phone is super friendly and says yes. Manager interrupts her yelling from where ever she is and says we can't do that. Odd?? I have done this countless times before but ok, I say I'm not going to argue can you please just put several mayonnaise packets in the bag. Food comes and no mayonnaise. It costs nothing to be kind and I am PAYING for your service and YOU are getting PAID to work. Makes no sense. I feel terrible for the team that has to work with her. Poor leaders drive away good employees and will drive away...
